My now-husband was hesitant to spend the money for a wedding planner in the beginning, but he very quickly realized the stress relief she provided was more than worth the investment. Amy met with us early in the process to tour the venue we had already selected, get to know us, and start to design our day. Since we didn't have a set vision, she put together two mood boards to gather our feedback which she used to put together our design board. She then guided us toward the perfect vendor team to bring that board to life and helped us to review all of our vendor contracts. From there, she was involved in most, if not all, of our vendor meetings, asking questions we would have never thought to ask and keeping track of all of our details for us. She sent us a monthly to-do list to help us prioritize our tasks and even reminded us when our payments were due. She made herself readily available by text and email throughout the planning process and answered even the smallest of questions with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. She even helped us choose items for gift bags for our hotel guests, which she then assembled and dropped at the hotel for us. On our wedding day itself, she coordinated our vendors, ensured all decor items were set up as we intended, and made sure my husband, VIP family members, and I had everything we needed. We hired Lightyear Studios to do our engagement and wedding photo/videography, and it was one of the best decisions we made throughout this whole process. We couldn't be happier with the job him and his team did for us. They were incredibly professional and ensured we got all the shots we wanted and then some. They made the whole process so much more fun and worked with us every step of the way. They took a lot of the stress of that weekend away from us and made sure that we were well taken care of. Indian weddings tend to be pretty crazy between the various functions, timings and people. Lightyear made sure that we did our best to stay on track to ensure we got the key parts captured. They allowed us to stay in the moment while making sure they were shot perfectly. We absolutely loved working with them as they made the day as stress free as possible and made sure the focus was on us. As anyone who has done a photoshoot before (or not), it can be very awkward, but Nathan and Thanh did a great job keeping us engaged and laughing the whole time. Our family and friends have been so complimentary of everything they did and how easy they were to work with. We would recommend Nathan,Thanh and Lightyear to anyone who wants to ensure that they get the best photos/videos for any special events in their lives. We realized early in the process that all the planning you do is mainly for that day and it's one and done. The only things that come with you after is the photo and videos of that time, so it's imperative you get a group that will do everything they can to make sure it was all worth it. They are easily the best in the business and our wedding would not have been anything close to what it was, without them. You would be doing yourself a major disservice by going with anyone else. Paul was professional, dressed professionally, had a second-shooter to make sure all the basis were covered. I was also impressed that his website doesn't focus on contacting him nor does it provide a long diatribe about how great the photographer considers himself; he puts his work out there across several mediums and allows you to judge for yourself. Most of his business appears to be captured through word of mouth but he's in heavy demand and getting on his schedule can be tough, so if you're interested in this guy, booking him sooner is better.

I called Paul, and he told me he could fit me in the next day at 5:30/6PM. Unfortunately, when the time of the appointment came, all contact was lost with him. I tried calling, texting, e-mail, he simply would not reply to any of them. Then, I went to his studio in Wilmington, and there was nobody there. It wouldn't be until two days later, only after I tracked down his personal Facebook and messaged him there, that I managed to get in contact with him. His reply was a simple, "I am having family issues, please find someone else." And that was it. Family issue or no, it was highly unprofessional of him to not give me the courtesy of at least letting me know that he would be unavailable so that I could find another headshot photographer in time. My only option became to submit a homemade headshot, which will most likely significantly decrease my chances of getting noticed by the casting directors. And the worst part is that he didn't even apologize. He might as well have said "f*** off." This man is unreliable, untrustworthy, inconsiderate, and clearly does not care about his customers. He had the audacity to set an appointment and completely shrug me off until it was too late. I can't even tell if his "family issues" story is real, as his Facebook wall suggested he was happily watching the Super Bowl while I was desperately trying to contact him. Regardless, the simple fact of the matter is that I relied on him, and he screwed me over. My audition might as well be ruined. This is simply not good business practice. If you want a trustworthy photographer who cares about his customers and who will keep his appointments, I highly recommend you find someone else.

They brought everything with them and we had a fantastic party. The food was great. It was so nice to have a party and not have to stress about getting everything, preparing everything and cleaning up. When they left, you would never have even known that I had a party. So, if my wife and I pay the $20 a head cover and each order a bottle of Yeungling it's $52? I don't care how rich you are, you need a hole in your head to pay $52 for two bottles of Miller's Lite. Was this money going to a charity or strictly for profit? I'm not going to begrudge a private club having whatever type of event they want. I am asking though please don't associate your organization with the Art Loop, a traditionally free and fun mingling of the community, if you're going to charge a cover that goes beyond even what a local club would charge on a Saturday while a band is playing. Art was alright, typical of what you would see in a downtown office building. Local landmarks and landscapes. You could actually go to the Brandywine Museum of Art and see some Andrew Wyeth for less than the price of admission here. Even better the Delaware Art Museum only charges $25 for two adults and four children and both of those have a lot more than the dozen work we saw hanging here.
