Since returning to the Salina area from out of state, we've had Virg's work on our stuff- both…read moreforeign and domestic- four times. Our problems included brakes, engine replacement, driveline repair, and electrical. We have been very satisfied each time. Our Jeep brakes, for example, now have a lifetime warranty as do some of the other repairs. I have never encountered this elsewhere. Virg and the staff have been very good at explaining the recommended course of action and the alternatives. We have never had a hint of upselling there- and in a couple of instances, Virg shopped around to find the best price on an expensive part. I've been in shops where it looks like they want to turn a simple repair into a complete restoration, and it's no fun. As we recall, Virg's shop has been here for around 40 years. The mechanics have a little grey hair, and a lot of experience. It's the best shop in town.

Mr. Hemmy is knowledgeable and helpful and will not try to upsell unneeded parts/components. They will swap out batteries for you upon purchase and their cost is much lower than dealerships or aftermarket repair shops. I manage six vans as part of a fleet and a local aftermarket shop told me one of our vans with less than 30,000 miles needed a new battery and would not hold charge. I drove the van to Clare where Mr. Hemmy said a battery with 30,000 miles on it should be good. He then wheeled out his tester and advised the battery was good and did not need replacement. He did not charge us for the diagnosis and our company added him as a vendor. That same battery is still in the van after 60,000 miles - saving our company several hundred dollars.
