Myself and a few good other Rec coaches of mine who have known each other and coached with each…read moreother for years were one of the first members at Covington location when they opened up in Oct 2023. The staff then were all high school coaches who were great trainers with the players there for private lessons. I can say without a doubt that the staff and changes they have made since then do not represent the sport or community. The staff last year knew its members by first name and showed a genuine interest in coaching these players. it is all kids now who work there and they have raised their prices for everything. Monthly membership fees are higher now as well lessons. T thing is last year they were not known and had much less business and members. Now that word has gotten around and the community knows about them, they raised everything. Today we received a email stating that beginning in August on top of us paying our monthly membership fees, they are going to be charging a $17.50 half hour rental fee for cages. If you use the cages two times a month at that price, that almost your monthly dues. This location has gone from caring about the sport and wanting to help players excel to big corporate making money. Went from a general manager who was very skilled and knowledgeable in the sport at a high level to hiring someone who is all business oriented. No doubt they are going to lose loyal members because of their greedy policies. Whst use to be a great place to bring your players to work on their skills has become nothing more than a Chucky Cheese trying to give the very least for the highest price. Update: Once word got around about them charging its members a fee to use the cages, all of a sudden the following day we received emails stating they are no longer going to charge the members they already have and it only counts with new members. Cheers to everyone who called into them that day and let them know it's not cool or a smart idea to do that to us. Especially the ones who have been members since it first opened. Today I looked to see about scheduling a lesson for my son and was blown away by how much those prices have gone up. Use to cost $35ish for a 40 minute lesson, not it's $50 and $90 for a hour lesson. Unlike the original coaches who ran that place and worked there, there is not a specific coach first baseman to train with. Of course they have someone for pitching and catching lessons but everyone else is a utility player and has I'm sure a good baseball IQ about all the positions but having a left handed actual first base coach was huge,

Nice Sports Complex. Four baseball diamonds, one of which is a multi-use football/ baseball field…read more Plenty of seating in shaded bleachers area, but still enough room for people to bring lawn chairs. TWO SETS OF RESTROOMS, BUT REMAIN LOCKED UNLESS IT IS GAME DAY. Concession Stand. Batting cages. Three separate, medium sized parking lots. NO PARKING ON DANDALE DRIVE BEHIND PARK, HAS NO PARKING TOW AWAY SIGNS POSTED. Football Field remains locked, grass is meticulous and well manicured. Very clean sports park, plenty of waste receptacles placed accordingly. Several batting cages. Lights for evening games accessible. Handicap accessible ramps near parking lots near stairs. Grishelde Drive dead ends at park into wooded area, saw a trucker parked peacefully nearby taking a nap. I came on a weekday during school hours, park was empty, I imagine it is pretty busy after school, on weekends, and during tournaments. Park is totally encircled by the woods, I saw a trail, but I did not venture down it. Park appeared very safe, deep within West Mobile Suburban Neighborhood, I got lost trying to get out of neighborhood, if you go north on Long Leaf Drive, you will come out at Cottage Hill, stores and eateries probably at least half mile to one mile from Park. Greer's Supermarket nearby on Cottage Hill, so is Big Time Diner, there are also Wendy's McDonald's, and Popeye's or Zaxby's Chicken on Cottage Hill as well.
