I told them that I have appointments that week, and "Could we do it after Mon. Nov. 12." No reply. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, I did my usual routine of taking my dogs to the groomer for a bath. When I came home, 2 large vehicles were blocking my driveway, and I could not park. No one in sight. Eventually, one fellow emerged from the gate to my backyard returning to the truck. He got the others to follow him--they said we are here to trim the tree, but they were waiting for a smaller lift because the one they had could not fit through the gate. I said, "Well, we were not scheduled for this until next week. "Uh, no. We have you scheduled for today," the leader said. "We will call and talk to the boss." "And when you call your boss, remind him that I still have not signed the contract to do this work. xxxxxx (the salesman) was supposed to come by yesterday to have me sign it." I said. So problem number one: the salesperson did not follow my scheduling requests, problem two: when they arrived they climbed over the gate and trespassed on my property and even unlocked another gate to go down to my dock, and left the both gates wide open. problem three: They were prepared to do the work when there was no signed contract. I could go on with much more, but this was enough for me to lose confidence in this company. If they are this slipshod in preparations to do the tree limb removal, then imagine how it could be with tree limbs over my house being removed. That's enough said.

Bland did about half of the work and it only took 6 weeks(originally 2-3 days was quoted)! Mostly because of constant breakdowns of equipment and running out of money to finish so he had to get other jobs to pay to finish mine. My only requirements was that he didn't destroy my grass(he did) and that he would drop the trees down piece by piece(he didn't). during his 6 weeks he left deep ruts in my yard, dropped a tree on my brand new chain link fence destroying about 40 ft of it. He also got his debris hauling truck stuck in my yard because he decided a good time to show up finally and work was 1 day after debby pour 15 inches of rain down. This completely destroyed my asphalt driveway and the concrete walkway going to our front door. We had to pay to get his equipment unstuck from our driveway. He caused more damage in a few hours then he was hired for the whole job. If you use bland you will be sorry. this is not just a bad review, its probably the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. To top it all of today we found out his insurance lapsed and none of his equipment is road worthy or registered to be on the road. He has been doing this to to many people and enough is enough. NO MORE excuses bland!
