It was a little pricy for my 9 year old at $29 but understandable since I believe his hair takes just as long to cut as an adults. Going back will be a treat at that price for him but we will DEFINITELY be back. Bring cash and give yourself time to wait. This is a barber shop not your mamas house. You know who was there before you, so you know when it's your turn to chair up. This shop is cash only, but they have an ATM. I even take my 5 year old in for fades. I don't know why the low reviews. They offer adults free coffee while they wait, and the kids get candy. This is a great shop with talented barbers who take their time. My cut and my son's cut are always perfect when we go here. I found the place using the Yelp App and didn't even have time to check out any reviews - just figured I better hurry up and get there. Darrel was the barber who was going to cut my hair - so - when I arrived and saw a whole line of men cutting hair - I had no idea who Darrel was. However, being the only white man in the place - I was easy to spot and Darrel introduced himself to me and showed me to the chair! As We both sat - me in the barber chair and him on the wooden stool - the first time the person cutting my hair had ever sat down - he began to chat with me - NOT cut my hair, but seriously - we just started to talk. Somewhere in the conversation I told him what I wanted - he told me ok and the conversation continued. Nothing seemed rushed though I might have received a couple of second looks - I felt perfect comfortable in this barber shop and chatting with my new friend Darrel. As we conversed like two friends that hadn't seen each other since high school - Darrel managed to cut trim and manage the most amazing hair and beard cut I have ever had! How I wish this place was back home! The owner even gave me a sweet and sour sucker - I was such a good kid - and when I finally put my glasses on - I realized that Darrel had given me a hair cut that I didn't ask for at all. It wasn't even close to "Hard Parts" on both sides - but instead of being mad - I looked at the cut and holy crap - it was so much better! I guess he seemed to know what I needed more then I did. The only problem - I won't ever be able to find anyone who will give me this same cut again - it was like he was molding it just for me. It was the longest time I ever sat getting my hair cut - amazing!
