Although the deck looks good, it is a nightmare underneath it. This contractor never spoke with local zoning nor did he have the required inspections done as he was progressing. When zoning did their inspection at the end of the project, there were many, many issues starting with the footers not being 42" in depth. And because the issues start with the footers, it is most likely going to end with a rebuild of this deck. I am beyond disappointed with this contractor. He is not willing to stand behind his work and fix the issues that he created. Perhaps his price was fair, but not so much with having to rebuild the same deck and he charged me thousands in extra charges at the end. It pains me to write such a bad review, but I don't want to see this happen to anybody else. Contractors like this should not be allowed to prey on innocent consumers.
