Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.

There's only one outdoor table; the rest of the seating is inside, so depends on your luck whether you can snag a spot. Luckily for us, there was one empty table inside. I got a glass of white wine for 3.70€ and my friend had a small beer for 2.60€. With each of our wine orders, you can order a small dish from the menu. It was nice having the option to choose, since most of the other bars I went to didn't give you a choice. The menu has a good selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. I was already full at this point from bar/tapas hopping, but my friend got the chicken in spicy Thai sauce and really enjoyed it. I love Southern Spain and I am not normally a fan of Brit run bars / cafes…read more However I am going to make an exception for the Anchor Cafe in La Herradura, a lovely unspoilt town on the Costa Tropical. Whilst staying in La Herrdura recently, I was desperate to find a bar that would show the Lions rugby games - not an easy task, as the town is more of a destination for Spanish taking their holidays, rather than northern Europeans. So I guessed I had to break my normal rule and find a Brit bar. I popped into the Anchor, and could not have found a more welcoming place. Its run by a really nice charming English family, who were more than happy to make sure the game was on, at a volume where you could hear the commentary. They also served a different tapas dish free with every drink. There was such a good vibe in there that we visited a few times even when the rugby was not on, to enjoy the ambience and the great food a mix of traditional Spanish with English if you wanted it. It also sits right on the beach so you've got fab views / weather etc. What really makes this a great place is that the owners and their son in law who doubled up as the head barman and head chef couldn't do enough for you.

However, I had to wait a good 10-15 minutes to get that order in and several more minutes for the order to delivered, so I can't wholeheartedly recommend. If you're in Granada, not a bad place to stop for a drink, but my advice to all of you is really... come visit Da (actual) Bronx.

There were two older gents having pints of Guinness on the patio when we came in, but the bar was entirely empty. We had a nice chat with the sweet and friendly Venezuelan bartender. Asked him how the season was going, he said "nonexistent." It's totally dead in the winter in Torremolinos, the beach party town. We didn't have any food that even, just two pints, one Guinness, one Stella Artois. Menu looked to be standard pub grub (toasties, burgers, chips - meaning fries - with things on them, etc.), note the chef is English, but the owner is Irish, and those two terms are not interchangeable, so we were told. There's a snooker table in the back, have always wanted to learn how to play, one of these days maybe. Apparently, there's a rather sizable expat community here in southern Spain, something about the perfect weather. We felt welcome and comfortable, def you should pop in for a pint.
