Went to Daddy-O's to get a "High and Tight" today after someone recommended Shawn. It's been 35 years since I've had a high and tight type crew cut in the Marines, but decided to go for it to deal with the intense humidity in Daytona Beach. These are not easy haircuts as it's easy to mess up the fade. Shawn took his time and we had a great time smoking and joking. When the cut was done, he spun me around in the chair so I could see it in the mirror and I was so excited to see it I jumped out of the chair to eyeball it closer. The cut was perfect, the fade was great, and he even groomed my ears and eyebrows! He asked how I liked it and was willing to do more if I liked, but he nailed it the first time. I told Shawn I liked him, he gave a killer cut, and wanted him to be my new barber and he gave me his card. My fiance was nervous about me getting such a cut, but she too impressed. So, we just moved to this area last weekend. I work somewhere out of this area, so i have a crash pad over there. I usually cut my own hair because i'm bald. Well, i guess i must have pulled something in my back and have been unable to go back to my crash pad to cut/ shave my head. I need something quick due to wedding over this next weekend. I found this place on Yelp and it was rated very high. I made an appointment and shawn was gonna be my coiffure, who btw was rated very well. I have not been to a barber since 2006 when i left the military. Not knowing what to expect shawn took over and explained a few things and made some suggestions. I read in good hands. He went to town on my bald head and gave me the haircut of the year. They always end the session with a hot, fragranced towel. I think my hair cut is easy and that's why i do it myself but after coming here, i think I'll let them do it from now on. These guys know their stuff and it seems like a great place to just chill. Aryn Noel is my new fabulous hairdresser. She is so good I will be driving an hour to visit her! She recently did my hair for the first time and the results were exactly what I wanted never mind gorgeous. I have been to quite a few different hairdressers over the past 5 years and she is by far the best! I am so glad I have found her. She is a keeper! By the way the service included a full head of low lights w/ a few high lights around the face and a trim. Such a high quality service at a low affordable price.
