We went here for a decently big party and the service was okay. They reserved more than enough seats for us, but we did need to pay a down payment just for reservation. I heard a lot of good things about this place from locals, and it fit my budget.
In terms of how the place looked, it is nicely decorated. It has little miniature figures of towns and plastic models of food without making it look similar to the stalls at the mall. They have covered tables with bulky table decorations that you can find at 18th birthday parties. The group area is separated by area from the normal dining area, but it is still surrounded by other groups. I will say that the bathroom could use some attending to because the two times I went in it was dirty and wet...
About the food in a nutshell: all looks, not much about quality. They have plenty of options, but most are catered towards Asian cuisine: Filipino, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Having experience in all 4 types of cuisines, I was disappointed that everything was lacking in flavor. Most of the dishes could easily be found elsewhere at a much better quality of taste. The sushi was pretty good though and had a great selection!
The desserts were not impressive either. It had a decent variety of halo halo, ice cream and baked goods, but the only one that stood out was the crepe machine. It was good, but it took a while to make. Also the ginataan was also extremely good due to the perfect blend of coconut milk. Those were the two that I had a second helping of.
This buffet has potential to rival the Manila-famous Vikings, but it needs to perfect it's craft by catering to the comfort of the customers by adding more air conditioning and putting more effort into giving their food more taste. read more
