Every time I've submitted a maintenance request--even for something routine--he's been responsive and easy to get in touch with. More than once, he's shown up himself to make sure the work was completed correctly and that I was satisfied before closing out the request. It's rare to find a property manager who's both professional and genuinely invested in the building. He communicates well, follows through on what he says, and treats residents with respect. The building feels better maintained than it ever has, and it's obvious someone is paying attention. No management company is perfect, but after dealing with the previous ones, I can honestly say the experience has been a huge improvement. I went through the initial application for a mortgage refinance with New Fed. They claimed a…read morecertain rate with a no fee closing. Reviewing the documents they wanted me to sign, the paperwork presents a $500 application fee, that if closed they waive. The paperwork also states that the rate is NOT locked. This means they could change the rate at any time and you would be locked into their fee without a good rate. I talked with the loan officer on the phone. She tried to claim the rate would lock right after signing. I asked for a contract or paperwork to reflect that, she would not provide it. Looking at the BBB and yelp reviews for this company, and their prior name, commonwealth mortgage, suggests that many people had their rate change after they signed the paperwork, meanwhile fees were not refunded. This company might claim good rates, but looking at the details buyer beware, they don't put their paperwork behind their marketing claims.
