We happen to pass by & the gazebo caught our attention so we decided to stop & walk around. It was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon & we easily found parking on the street. Theres a fountain, a pond & some benches. Nice spot to exercise or just enjoy the good weather. Look out for the duck poop. Its all over the place. read more

I walked there from an adjacent town. I needed to move the old bones. It was about a 20 min walk to this destination from home. On a week day, not many people. Yes, many geese and ducks. There are a few interesting sculptures around the park. I thought it was a lovely and tranquil place. There is a small playground nearby for younger children. Definitely, not a spot to have a picnic with the relatives on a Sunday. However, if you care to relax, take a walk and clear the mind. I would recommend it. read more

It's a small park around Dahnerts Lake. There are gazebos along the path around the lake as well as restrooms and a children's playground. I didn't see a parking lot so I think you'd have to find street parking. There are a few shops around, it's nice to grab a coffee or something across the street to sip on while walking the path. There is lots of goose poop lying around, so watch your step. See if you find a turtle in the lake while you're at it. read more

Do you need therapy but are unable to find a good therapist? Well, coming here and walking around the track ten times isn't as good as therapy but it sure as hell is better than watching television. Geese and poop everywhere but you are sharing the habitat so its to be expected. I walk here everyday before sundown when its sparsely populated and i can listen to music and talk to myself and the geese. There are much better places to walk but it still has a certain lonely charm to it that i will consistently gravitate toward until something else fills the void in my heart. Did i mention the geese here are fearless? read more

Good place to come if looking to take a stroll around the "lake" or have the kids play on the swings and other equipment. I see they have bathrooms but never checked them out. People also come here to fish and catch some sun during the warmer months. Park seems well kept except for some graffiti in the gazebo. read more

This place had a smell of car oil and a fart. It was dirty! I went there because I was told there was big fish in the pond. When I got to the waters edge, I saw three vodka bottles in the pond along with, plastic bags, plastic bottles, and cardboard. It had a roller hockey rink and I think that's amazing! It was too bad, if they would clean it up it could be a great place to hang out. read more

They really transformed this little park into something quite nice. I grew up in Garfield, and growing up this park wasnt anything to write home about. In the past few years, they really renovated it, and it is quite lovely. It has gazebos, a nice little lake that you can run around, a playground for the kids, and some type of skating area. theres usually an ice-cream truck parked right by the park, and there is also a dunkin donuts right there too. Public bathrooms are also a plus! read more

It has a nice playground for kids..but if you're not a kid or don't have children I would go somewhere else. The lake is the color of mud and while the geese are beautiful to look at there is no circumference that is not covered in their poop. By the end of my walk I had been defeated and just accepted my fate of having geese poop on my shoes. We did find a few turtles though in the lake which was a pleasant surprise too bad they had to be swimming next to plastic bottles. Must take some type of special person not to throw a bottle in the garbage cans provide. read more

Adorable park! One round is .33 miles. Love that they have that measured out. There are plenty of benches around the park and also gazebos with benches for those sunny or even rainy days. They also have a playground for the kids! read more

Ok so I remember when the water was green and the fountain was off. I also broke one of the little spring horses on a class field trip there. Today this place is a little escape from the busy cities and noisy streets. Take your kids around lunch time, a food truck will appear between the park and the library. Get a hot dog and take your family to ta quiet spot and just listen to the fountain. Makes me miss my grandfather just thinking about it . . . read more

Cute little park very close to where I live. I like to come by and jog around the lake. There's also a nice gazebo that extends into it, as well as a children's play area. Benches throughout also makes it a nice place to sit and read, people watch, and reflect. Also very glad the bathroom here is actually open, not sure why they're always kept closed at so many parks! read more

Cute park and great for kids. My son love the slide there. The water is pretty with a cute little walk way to walk up to the fountain. I also love that's it's next to the police station, makes it feel alot more safe. read more
