There is little news in the papers and sports stories are days old by the time they are printed (unless it is football or professional sports). I cancelled our subscription on week 2. Your average local paper…read more I used to deliver for them. Circulation is wayyyy down lately. Local papers just can't cut it. Kids don't do paper routes anymore. They are too busy updating myspace or facebook. In it's hey-day, EVERYONE in Winchester/Woburn subscribed to this paper. I had my picture in it many times - what can I say, I'm a pretty face!!! Well, they used to call it "interesting".... that's the same thing, right!?!?!? Have you read this thing lately? Not much to it - not worth the $. Sort of a joke. When I used to deliver it - getting people to pay was hell. One time this particular house hadn't paid in weeks and weeks - it was ridiculous. They were never home to pay. That meant I paid their subscription until I could collect. When I finally got a hold of them, it came to like $100. They were pissed. They yelled at me for not collecting from them sooner. I didn't care. They owed me money and were never home. It wasn't my fault. I stood my ground - made the jerks pay up. Got a $100 with my name on it. And THAT is how I paid for college!!!! If you like that story and want to hear more, send me money! It'll be like I actually work for yelp or something! Why not! Plenty of people who work for'em leave garbage reviews, why not me too!!!!

Woburn Daily Times provides excellent local and national coverage , but mostly a localized focus…read morefor those who live in the Woburn/Winchester area. It has an excellent classifieds section and job section as well. It has award winning sports coverage and interesting localized articles! I enjoy the mix of regional, local and national/world news. I also like how the Daily times covers both sides in an unbiased manner. The paper is 60 cents and can be found in a number of local establishments and convinence stores in Woburn/Winchester.

We talked, then She said forcefully that I owed the money. I replied to stop the ads. Months later I received increased bills. I looked in The Transcript, and my ad was still running. I called and told them to stop running the ad. I figured they would take me to court and I could have the money from the unauthorized ads removed. Months later they the used card number from authorized payments and started illegally taking unauthorized payments. I recommend everyone to never give them a card number ever, and never do business with them.

Delivered high quality maps for years in communities throughout Massachusetts and beyond…read more Affordable local advertising. Did business with them a number of times. Sad to see a few negative reviews but print advertising did obviously change with the advent of smartphones and search. And GPS turn by turn directions in our pockets made printed maps less relevant. Times change.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME THEN AT LEAST FILE WITH BBB. THE MORE COMPLAINTS THE BBB GETS AGAINST THEM THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THANK YOU. BUYER BEWARE! If you own a small business and The Map Guys call you to Advertise on their maps, be very very wary! They will accept your payment, cash your check then never print the maps!! They did this in Franklin, MA and claimed the maps would be available in hotels and the Franklin Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce has never even heard of them ! The Chamber gets their tourist maps produced by a company in PA. And Maps of Franklin have yet to be produced over a year later! They scammed me due to my own naivety, and I will never get my money back but instead I will make it my mission that I save someone else from falling for it. p.s. I personally use the word scam and not "falling on hard times" because they are STILL continuing to go town-to-town taking people's money and not producing a product and that IS premeditated. It's called Larceny under False pretenses.
