I see Spare Change News hawkers all over the city, every day…read more Recently, I picked one up and read it. *gasp!* I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the paper has some pretty interesting articles that are often better-written than some of those in big media newspapers. I didn't see any articles that pleaded and begged for money or anything. There was a great article on the New Bedford immigrant raid. Some interesting profiles and interviews. A friend said they read an interview with Noam Chomsky in one issue. This is a paper I'll probably be looking to keep up with.

No notification that the subscription is ending. It's in their contract to bill for continuation. The supervisor Alan was not very helpful for a credit other than to offer a continuation rate, This Boston Globe issue has been reported numerous times in YELP. I have been a home paper subscriber for over 30 years and 4 years digital subscriber but they are losing subscribers with this bait and switch practice. The value is not there, so beware.
