What a great little treasure just North of Dyersburg, TN. A friend recommended Lock's Store/Macye's…read moreGrill, so my husband and I made the 45 minute trip tonight. Check them out on Facebook. There are instructions for text ahead seating, which I strongly recommend. We did text ahead and were seated as soon as we walked inside. Our waitress, Sandy, was wonderful!!! The other employees were all super nice and they all made sure we were taken care of. Let me apologize now for my lack of pictures with this review. I did get some of their pics from FB to show the inside of the restaurant. We got so busy talking to our waitress and looking at the fun decor inside the restaurant and I failed to take food pics. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good (crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside). My husband ordered the fried fish and he commented that it was some of the best fried fish he'd ever eaten. The seasoned batter was on point and the fish was not greasy at all. I got the hamburger steak with a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we came home with a to go box that my 16 year old son devoured when we got home...lol The back of the menu has the history of the restaurant and I enjoyed reading about it and looking at pictures of the original building that were hanging on the walls in the front waiting area. Remember to text ahead. Text your name and how many are in your party. They'll text you back the wait time and ask if you want to be added to the list. Remember it's not a reservation. Text ahead option is only available during hours in which we are open. Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes…read more Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.
