I'll definitely return here in future road trips to the area simply because of the variety available here, I didn't end up trying everything I wanted to at all. For this visit I had the mozza mushroom burger with their original freshly squeezed lemonade. I'll admit, the burger portion isn't the biggest, but it was certainly quality over quantity in terms of its juiciness. Their lemonade though, oh my goodness it was delicious, and it was definitely squeezed with fresh lemons. The outdoor seating can get infested with flies, which is something you'll have to live with if eating at those bench tables. Otherwise though this is a stop that I highly recommend if you're in Morden.

Used to be a bar called the Blind Pig... nothing wrong with that place either, but the Top Hat keeps things down to earth and just as good of not better. This is one of those bars where one can buy a bag of ice or a twelver of beer from the cooler case. If you'd rather sit and stay a while, tables and bar stools will give you a perch to rest your laurels. Occasionally this place gets lively, particularly when a bunch of folks on bikes passes through. Nice folks on both sides of the bar make this a great little spot. Good dinners too, if you're hungry... but I can't ever seem to figure out the kitchen hours. Can't imagine you'd plan a trip to Pisek, but it's your loss. And if your travels bring you near, stop on and wash the bugs from your teeth with something cold here.

The burgers are excellent. I recommend following their Facebook page to see & learn about other options (an example for this particular Saturday night is chicken, steak and walleye). I've heard their fried chicken is very good too, when it's on the menu. You order from and pay at the counter in the back of the Eagles (we typically enter through the back door by that kitchen). They'll call your name when ready. Someone will come by as well and take any drink orders. There are a bunch of long tables in the back and visitors under 21 can eat back here when serving food - otherwise this is a 21+ bar.
