I had no problem finding a parking spot. I pulled into an available one and walked into the eatery. There is a drive-thru. It was doing steady business at around 2 pm on a Sunday. I used the women's washroom. It was decent and maintained nicely. I always feel guilty using the washroom without buying a thing. I felt like a Frosty. I lined up to get a small chocolate one. This Wendy's has a hometown feel. The woman at the counter was super nice, remembering locals by their first names, and being equally warm to visitors like me. I paid with a debit card. A small Frosty is $1 all summer long. I thanked her and headed to my car with my treat. My favourite Frosty in Vaughan gives you a lid, a spoon, and a straw for your Frosty. I never use the straw. This place gives you a spoon only. I kind of dig the simplicity. My Frosty hit the spot. I sat in my car and consumed it. It was creamy and satisfied my frozen treat craving. Asked to speak to the manager and a woman came to speak to me. I asked if she was the manager and she said no, she's over there and busy. I proceeded to Complain to the person about the garbage cans and dirty tables and was told "we've been busy"! She was very rude and unapologetic about the state of the restaurant. I asked for the owners name and she said " I don't know the owners name", she didn't even offer to go find out!!! The Manager of that location needs to be on top of everything in the restaurant!! Lately it's been getting worse and worse. We ordered: Choose your own pasta + sauce (penne with Alfredo sauce) Cheeseburger with onion rings 2 grilled cheese sandwiches Nowhere on the menu does it say that choose your own pasta comes with onions or mushrooms, so when it arrived with both, we sent it back asking for neither. It came back.... still had onions in it. The cheeseburger and onion rings came with no onion rings, fries instead. The grilled cheese came with no cheese. It looks like cheese might have once been on the bread, but later removed. It was truly the most perplexing. I love to support local restaurants but this isn't the first disappointment from them (last time we were told we didn't read the menu correctly despite doing exactly that), and this time just sealed the deal that we will be unable to return unless there is new management and a better cook. In the morning we were greeted with waffles a coffee and smoothie, the waffles wee crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside which we quite enjoyed and the coffee and smoothie were well made. The owner is a nice young lady who runs it with her husband who I have to say is slightly borish and annoying he took us on a guided hike in tick infested woods!
