Starting with the food we have enjoyed most of the delicious food on the menu and If you peruse their menu online you will observe that their prices are quite reasonable. Our favorite dishes on their menu are the Salt and Pepper Squid and the Salt and Pepper Chicken; we use it as the benchmark dishes when comparing to other Chinese restaurants. As it relates to the service; whether we dine in or order take away we are always greeted with genuine friendliness and a few of the staff have even taken the trouble to greet me by my name. If you live in the Hills or are just visiting and you feel like Chinese food then I highly recommend Yee's Palace as being one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Hills, if not the best. The establishment is a long rectangular space, with the partially open kitchen adjacent to the bar down one side and a lovely feature brick wall with fake topiaries down the opposite side. There is also a larger, more quiet dining area at the rear. Note: there is rear access via the car park - handy on a rainy night! The service was pretty good and there were even moments of brilliance - such as when the rather handsome chap I am guessing is the proprietor, or at least someone with oodles of experience in the industry suggested, without prompting, would we like equal servings of six pieces of the selections we had made that were numbered less on the menu. Yes please! I explained to this rather accommodating chap that onion products and I are not the greatest of friends (I have a severe intolerance) and could he request that nothing with onion added through to serve, such as a spring onion garnish, or raw onion through the salads etc be omitted. He accepted the suggestion with ease, ensuring he would write it on the order notice in large letters. Alas, as is common, the request was overlooked and the first dish appeared with pickled onion throughout the salad. But no matter, it was a terrific dish, said the others. I did not make a fuss, and nor do I mean to do so now. First world problems, huh? Like I said, it's happened before, I am sure it will happen again. We had a lovely selection of dishes from the red duck curry (terrific) to the pad see ew, with a chargrilled chicken skewer, crispy pork belly and a couple of serves of the dumplings along the way. They were all delicious and presented prettily, but not pretty enough that you didn't want to eat them. Food, get in my mouth! The only other point of service I might note was the waitresses' keenness to clear the dinner plates from one end of the table, whilst there was still food available and others eating at the other end. Tut tut, hands off! If you are ok with raised volume in a busy restaurant (it was noisy in there) and you'd like some free parking out the back [at night], some decent service with a sufficient bar selection and a gaze at a very handsome man who runs the place, oh, and some terrific tasting food, then by all means, I would recommend Infuzions. Even if it is deliberately misspelled.
