    Lamb ribs.

Came here twice in as many weeks, as after finding this gem I had to immediately share it. The beef carpaccio is one of the best I've had. Don't be put off by the soupy sauce it comes swimming in, just grab your chop sticks and dig in. The lamb ribs, soft shell crab, crispy spiced fried chicken, and salmon carpaccio were also delicious. And you can't go past a side of edamame. Hot and cold tapas are $10 or under on Mondays and Tuesdays (cash only), but their regular prices won't break the bank. Approach the wine list with caution - whichever red I chose was tough to drink (but of course I managed).

Stopped in on Good Friday and were greeted by the owner, a young man originally from Hong Kong. He made a few suggestions, which we followed, and we were very happy we did! Our two kids, 8 and 10, enjoyed the fried rice, as well as the salt and pepper squid. We really loved the crispy spiced fried chicken with kimchi mayo, steamed prawn and pork wontons, and the salmon skewer in smoked soy dressing and chicken inasal skewers were exceptional! Quite a few restaurants in the neighborhood, and this one is easy to miss. But Don't!!!

Survived it's first year in business, still a great place for a feed. We frequently recommend this place to our friends.

That show pride in what they are serving. I love the way their extensive wine list has detailed categorizations for each wine, both bottles & glasses. It makes it great to find your styled you're not an expert on a region's wine. 1/2 priced bottles up to $200 until 5:30. I think there's an early dinner here in my future!

Fantastic service on a Monday night at least - when I asked for a wine recommendation the bartender let me try two reds so that I could pick the one I was happier with. It is a much larger venue than Tapavino the original restaurant in Bulletin Place - so less cosy but also less cramped and easier to get a table. The menu has a fair bit of variety from the jamon to the cheese to the tapas to the larger seafood and meat dishes. I tried the chicken liver pate which was creamy and came with nice rye crisps but lacked a bit of flavour (e.g. a bit of pepper would have gone a long way). I also tried the poached octopus and kipler potatoes which was cooked perfectly but again lacked a bit of punch. For dessert the baked apple is sweet and comforting on a winter's evening. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would like to come back to try some of the meat dishes (think lamb shoulder, flank and tripe) but it wasn't a standout location I'd be rushing to tell my friends about.

The classic decor is lovely with various seating options including lounge booths. Pleasant ambient lighting and music. A good option for a bite to eat as they offer tapas plates, share plates, salads and even more substantial meals. Cocktails are $19-26. Beer is $9-12. Coffee is $7! They do a cold drip coffee for $3 which is quite nice. They also offer high tea $55-$75 and high coffee $60 during the day. So this time round, now that I am merely counting down the days to a nursing home tub chair, we settled on something here in Sydney. That we are soon off to Madrid made me long for Spanish food but our morbid dread of overpriced, cod ordinary tapas, nearly steered us clear of that culinary quest. Then we found Postales... Stereotypical to my sexuality though it may be, I do not gush easily and give out full marks even less but here, we found the perfect romantic place to eat. The glorious architecture of what looked more like the crypt of a great cathedral than a reconfigured old post office, the cosy and comfy booth, the subdued lighting and the effortless service, all served as a perfect backdrop to an exquisite array of fine food. We chose the 'Fiesta' menu 'cos it well, sounded like something you'd eat on your birthday. Among the stand out performers: the calamari, which was light and tender, the chorizo, which was elevated in flavour by a deliciously spicy sauce and the sautéed spinach, chickpea and cauliflower, which had a bold authenticity thankfully not dumbed down for the local palate. Throw in some churros and crema catalana for dessert, along with a jug of refreshing sangria, and this ranked as one of our best dinners ever. If I had to quibble over anything, it would be to beg the owners not to stop at just one slice of that delicious 'miche' bread. Highly recommended, especially for lovers...
