Utterly gorgeous little shop in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it roadside location in West Cork. They had…read morea little sign up along the way informing us that they had placed second (I think) in the Irish Times "best shop in the country" category, so I thought I'd pull over and have a look in on my way back home after passing through the village of Leap. The shop itself is actually quite large inside, with three separate rooms. Each room is decorated and carefully curated to show their lovely, quality, eclectic stock. It's really a homewares store I suppose, with lots of lovely unique piece. The lady I spoke to (I'm guessing the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful and encouraged us to have a good browse. Could see it would do the job just as well, paid my €3.50 and left a happy customer. B & Q…read more I didn't get much in B & Q (Mahon) today, except confused. Not really a DIY man - the choices are staggering, most of them foreign territory to me. Picked up a few small well known items and headed for the check-out. Stumbled across one of the Express ones. Hesitated. A friendly staff member is over without delay and makes sure we can work the system. It is really quite easy and soon we are on our way, getting a cheery goodbye from the B & Q girl. Another satisfied customer.
