During my daughter's team…read morevolleyball photoshoot, she had an individual picture taken while still wearing her sunglasses. My wife immediately noticed and politely asked Ronnie to take a quick retake once she removed them. Before my daughter could remove them, he snapped another shot and flat-out refused to take another one--claiming he only took two shots per kid. The issue? My wife personally watched him retake photos for several other girls moments later. That kind of inconsistency is unfair and unprofessional. If he's going to enforce rules, they should apply to everyone, not selectively! While he did issue a refund, that does nothing to make up for my daughter missing out on a proper photo to remember her season. Sports photos are supposed to be meaningful keepsakes, but his dismissive attitude made the entire experience feel rushed and impersonal. It would have taken him seconds to retake the picture and show even the slightest care for his work or his clients but he didn't. Ronnie Esparza Photography clearly lacks basic customer service skills and fairness. I won't be using his services in the future, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you value professionalism and respect.

Definitely would have been worth full price without the deal she was offering. I tend to suck at getting my picture taken, especially when I'm on the spot. Even at my own wedding when I was otherwise having a great time, the photography session was a pain because I just couldn't seem to smile without looking like a creep. So I was very worried about paying someone to spend an hour trying unsuccessfully to get me to look into a camera and smile and not look like an idiot. I needn't have worried. I was immediately at ease with Portia, and she made the whole experience fun. It was almost as if the fact that there was a camera in the room was irrelevant -- we were just having a good time. In the end there was a plethora of excellent shots and the only problem was trying to limit myself to three (that particular deal limited it to three digital prints). The rest of the experience, the logistics, scheduling, payment, etc., was all very smooth and uneventful. I will definitely return to her next time I need any kind of studio-quality photography.

He had good ratings on Yelp and elsewhere locally & did homes for sale pics. His pics looked good. We started the process to get him on contract for the job. I started over a month in advance as I was going to be out of the country for 3 weeks during that time. His tracking of communication was lacking. He kept pushing back on the exact day I needed the shots done while going back and forth on e-mail while I was very busy out of country. I was right & he was wrong about it because I clearly remember what we agreed on because I had the higher vested interest whereas he had to track other jobs as well. So I just gave up and relented. I needed it done on a Friday so that I could list the house on that Saturday & had a housekeeper scheduled for Thursday to clean the whole house. I had to move that all up a day which cost me an extra day to get the house ready for the shots. He knew this yet passively complained about the fact that I was still moving furniture around that morning after the all day cleaning the day before. He took the shots & they were as expected-again-not rocket science and matched what one sees on other quality home listings. Then he sent me the link w/password to download the pics. Guess what? The file sizes were HUGE and thus unusable to upload to Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace-WTH? They were all at least 25-30 mbs. or more! So I had to contact him yet again after the job was done to get normal sized shots (1-2 mbs.) and did get them. Overall, in closing, during a time when I, as a certified Project Manager Professioal (PMP) was juggling an overseas trip and getting my house ready to show, well, dealing with his peccadillos was far from fun so buyer beware.
