This was the strangest hotel I've ever stayed at…read more This building is both a hotel, and an apartment complex. I booked a room here on Expedia, and the description made it sound like I was booking a hotel room. The good things I can say about this place was the room was neat and clean and had a full kitchen (which I always appreciate), and the price was the lowest price in the twin cities for a hotel room that wasn't in a total dive or bad part of town. The bad things, well this is going to be a list. 1. The parking is absolutely awful. There's no parking garage, or any kind of parking lot. You have to compete with others for parking on the street. When I got here, I had to drive around for 30 minutes just to find a parking spot. When I got a spot anywhere near the door, I didn't want to have to leave again because I knew I wouldn't have good parking like that. It would have been worth the $10/night more to stay at the Residence Inn some of my colleagues stayed at just for the decent parking. It's inconvenient for a week-long business trip. . .the idea of living here with parking like that would be beyond intolerable. 2. There's no front desk that is staffed, or housekeeping, or any other of the features or amenities you might expect from even a bad hotel. After I checked in, there was a sign saying you needed to download their app to speak with customer service. . .so they've outsourced desk clerks at this hotel to some app. When I was looking for a good place to eat nearby, normally I'd ask the staff at the front desk. . .but someone at an outsourced contact center in an app isn't going to know if the restaurant down the street is any good or not. The furniture in the room was minimalist. . .it's the first time I've stayed in a hotel in many years that didn't have an alarm clock, or a local directory, and they didn't have any kind of drawers to store my clothes in either. The complimentary coffee by the coffee maker didn't have decaf either. Also, in terms of lacking typical hotel amenities, there's no breakfast service. If they're running this place as a hotel too, they skimp out on a lot of features to bring in that bargain price. 3. I don't think this building was built very well. I can sit here and see cracks and peeling in the drywall. Looking around with a discerning eye, I can see all kinds of little signs they cut corners on the construction. This is a tiny studio apartment being rented as a hotel room, and the idea of living in this tiny space for more than the short stay I'm here would drive me mad. I would not recommend this place to stay, either as a hotel room or an apartment.

The building has several Airbnb units that they do not disclose to you upon signing. I even…read morementioned to the property manager the reason I moved from my old place was because there were Airbnbs in it. I only found out because there were random people always wandering around and in the halls and lobby full of suitcases. On top of the Airbnb people theres also homeless people inside the building constantly. Especially when the property manage is gone and no one is there to tell them to leave. On top of that I ended my lease a early. I was given directions from the manager about everything to do when I moved out. Which I followed completely and was told everything was all set. Then a few month later I get a letter from a debt collector saying I owe the money back for a concession a recieved because I ended the lease early. The property manager is never informed me of this or I would have not ended my lease early. Now I must go to court to get the claim on my credit removed. To sum it up. I do not recommend this apartment at all. Managment is terrible, the building is sketchy and full of airbnbs, and they'll decieve you into getting every penny they can from you. Definitly the worst place I've ever lived.
