So we went to see Tom and he found the error and was able to correct it for us... Something in a significant tax refund. We have been going to see Tom ever since. The services are not cheap, but we feel it is worth the money to make sure our taxes are prepared properly each year. We receive a tax packet from Tom at the end of each January that we can either send in with all of our documentation or we can schedule a meeting to go through it with him directly... We have done this both ways. It is very convenient. Tom takes the time to talk with us about the best ways to handle our taxes each year (401(k) contributions, deductions, etc.). If you have unique work arrangements or are in a higher tax bracket, I highly recommend coming to see Tom.

The turnaround time is pretty fast, and the.price is terrific. In fact, I was paying almost twice as much at my previous place which was crazy! Following nearly two months of inadequate communication and a lack of updates despite our weekly…read morerequests, we have made the decision to transfer our tax business to another organization. While we believe the employees at Gotham Tax Services have good intentions, we believe that communication surrounding tax filing should be consistent and thorough. I met with Steve December 19th of 2025. My wife and I submitted our tax documents in late March 2026. Three weeks later, we had not received any updates and inquired if it would be in our best interest to file an extension. One day before the tax deadline, we were informed that an extension would be filed. John informed us that he was expecting to complete our return on April 29th. However, we informed him that we had forgotten to include a form with our other documents on April 30th. We received no further communication for the entire month of May. Finally, we received a response on June 11th that John and others were out of the office but would follow up with us the next week. Despite reaching out on June 15th and informing them that we would be taking our business elsewhere on June 22nd, we received no further communication. Despite forgetting a form throughout this filing process, I cannot fathom the reasoning behind the lack of communication with the team at Gotham Tax Services and the extended time it took to file our return. I hope that the tax professionals at Gotham Tax Services will use this as a learning opportunity and ensure that future clients are treated adequately.

She messed up out taxes 3 years in a row. We had an audit done with another tax place and got back $32000,00. There are some good reviews about this place but i think people dont know they are getting ripped off and their taxes are not right.
