Then when my husband and I went to talk to the owner, an Indian lady, 2 separate times, we were told the both same lie - all he needed was his impact certificate and his driving our log and he would be able to do his driving test that following weekend. My husband goes up there to give the same Indian lady the impact test, cause I already sent her the record because I took a photo of it and when he gets up, there's told oh it's $100 fee for the driving test which we never were told anything of. Not even when we initially signed him up for the class!!! so just know, they will lose your records and they will not give you the full discretion of what the fees are nor tell you that you have to drove with your child for 30 hours AFTER all the classes are complete! You are only paying for the written part which you are better off doing the self assessed one which is wayyyyyyy cheaper! Avoid this place by any means!

DO NOT TAKE THE ROAD/DRIVING TEST at Desi Driving School!!!…read more They messed up big time when they gave us the sealed envelope after a successful road test to give to the DPS. They didn't provide the necessary information in the envelope, and we waited for over a month just to find out from the DPS about the missing information. Now, for the next appointment, we have to wait for another 2 months. The lady at the front desk at Desi Driving School kept blaming us, saying that we should have known about the missing information. They'll put whatever document you provided in the envelope and seal it. DO NOT expect them to guide you on what is missing and what else will be needed by the DPS.

I'm really happy that I took the online course today. There is a LOT of information but it had a…read morecomfortable pace with an option to listen to audio while you read each page. That helped me absorb information better. The online course lasted for 6 hours. You can't get around it and is required by law. You will also be given simple questions during the presentation to make sure you're the person you say you are and are paying attention. You will also need your drivers license, car registration and insurance to answer security questions as well. So definitely have these by your side. There were a few technical glitches when processing my payment but it worked on my second attempt after waiting a couple of minutes. I also used my Google Chrome web browser but there was a problem answering one question on the test because I could not read it properly. No biggie. I scored 90% on my test. 70% is required to pass. A minor amount of the text in the presentation was not formatted properly for web browsers so you get a missing icon in some wording, but it's not bad enough to affect what you are reading or having to answer the test questions. The jokes are really cheesy but some are funny. Women may be a little offended by some jokes because it seemed to be bit sexist; but this course, videos and jokes are really old (at least 10-15 years) so just ignore it if you can. Overall, I highly recommend the online option if you want to do the course from home and receive your certificate immediately. I only paid $34 with a discount code for the course, which included the online PDF certificate I received. The fee for the online certificate was only $7. I'm very happy and would recommend to anyone on a busy schedule.

I enrolled my daughter in EMS Driving School's $385 "Teen 46-Hour Complete Course" package, which…read moreincluded 32 hours of Classroom, 7 hours Behind-the-Wheel and 7 In-Car Observation. We were not impressed with the quality of the 32 hours classroom course. It also included at least one movie clip my daughter had to skip because of foul language. When my wife tried to schedule the 14 in-car sessions, Dr. Lewis, the owner, said we did not need to do that, but only sign her up for 7 sessions. We thought we did not understand the process, but as we took our daughter in, our experience was that there would be two student drivers in the school vehicle, and each would drive 30 minutes and observe 30 minutes. However, the school counted it as an hour of driving and an hour of observation for my daughter, and probably for the other student as well. We asked Dr. Lewis about it again and received an unconvincing explanation. We finished the school last week, and I expressed my concern to a different staff member, and his explanation was that "you get up to 14 hours." In the end, we expected to receive 14 hours in-car, but received at best 3 1/2 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and 3 hours of observation. We had to do a lot more of the instruction ourselves and feel taken advantage of.
