This building has served DALLAS for many years. It is versatile and holds many events every year. From the Chi Omega Christmas Bazaar going on right now, to Franchise Shows, Hot Tub Shows, Reptile Shows, and quite frankly and number of other shows that come rolling into Dallas. Interesting fact, John F. Kennedy was actually scheduled to attend a luncheon here immediately following the parade he was shot at in Dallas. For any of us who follow presidential history, it is difficult to come here without being reminded of that tragic event.

Lights All Night 2015 Day 2: KASKADE

What a terrible festival venue!!! LAN (Lights All Night) 2015 was a ****storm because of a variety of factors. Let's begin with the fact that they were way over capacity with 30K festival goers, and had to turn ticket-buyers away in the middle of the fest. Welp, I'm sure you shouldn't be getting that kind of treatment after paying $160-250! The restrooms were so outdated. Like, the men's restroom flooded on Day 1, and the larger women's also was messed up on Day 2. The pathetic "water-stations" were the old-fashioned 4 water fountains, 2 per stage area. When you miss an entire set for water and a single restroom break, you'd understand my anger. Good thing Thomas Jack wasn't that great lol. And don't get me started on the LAN security. I have heard about how DFW festivals are a huge pain because of security measures and stuff but it was a whole different level here. These people would not let people in from the smaller stage area to the main stage because there was a fire hazard and they were waiting on the fire marshall to come by and check it. Wow. You stall festival goers for HOURS and expect us to be happy? My girl had to use the restroom on Day 2 and we mistakenly went to the small stage area and got locked in until 30 min and then had to wait another 20 for the restrooms on the other side. The sound system was shotty on the main stage. C'mon, LAN staff, make sure the freaking MAIN STAGE is on-point. That's what makes the quality of the festival worth it. Porter Robinson (bae) had some technical difficulty at one point but the overall quality was in-and-out. Like, we want to hear more than just low bass... If we were far away from the stage we just heard the bass lol. Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with that awful parking situation because my friends and I found free parking. We braced the chilly weather and saved a gnarly $40!~ and boosted our immune system. Move it back to the Convention Center, y'all. That way, you greedy LAN people will regain some respect and trust. IT'S ALL ABOUT THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, and a fun time. Don't deprive us of it just because the venue is cheaper...

Here for a sweepstakes assignment for Great Danes. Gotta say I was impressed to see they have valet parking available. I came here a day early to survey the scene, get a feel of for the driving time, familiarize myself with the parking lot, entrances, etc. It's sorta chaoitic outside because they're doing construction on the Rennaissance Hotel next door. Parking lot seemed very full and spaces were limited. The event I was here for was set up well. I was able to see all of the ring numbers, find the show superintendents table, various entrance/exits, vendors, restrooms. I thought the crating area was well planned and not excessivly far from any of the show rings. Have already put in my mind that it may be worth the drive for shows here in the future.

I attended this venue because of the fleastyle. It was extremely cute and HUGE. Makes me thing of reasons why I would want to rent that place out for myself. It was freezing out today and the heat and there was perfect. I really appreciate that. I always enjoyed indoor functions and this place is perfect for it. If another event is held in this location I will accept the invite in a hurry.

Came here today for the RV Show! It was my very first one and I was excited to say the least. I had talked to a few people who had been but had no idea what to expect on my own. The showcase was nice I did notice that many of the RV'S info was not out on display and many people were wanting questions answered on certain things. Guess they got a late start They had so many of them in every price range you could imagine from $17,000 all the way up to $1 million dollars. I have never so much beauty on wheels. My family and i will going home and praying about this one! Since we Love to Travel I have a strange feeling this won't be the last time they hear from us. Lol

Decent place that can hold quite a lot of people. Attended the half price book sale here. It was enough room for people to move around freely, all the boxes of books, tables, and food stalls. The bathrooms were clean. The place seemed slightly run down though. Parking behind the building. Enough to accommodate.

I've been here twice, and both times I felt like the parking lots needed to be repaved and more signs put in place to know where to go.

She was always available, even the weird hours I had weird questions (lol). I cannot say enough about Erin and her team and how wonderful they are. I must personally acknowledge Charisma, Jakory, Jenny, Michael, and the ENTIRE Valet Team for taking exceptional care of my guests and me. These new friends have become new family now! One of the reasons I chose Sky Blu is because they do not sell food. This allowed me to hire my own caterer to personalize my birthday menu. The MAIN reason I chose Sky Blu was because of the amazing views of the Dallas Skyline. It simple does not get any better than the rooftop views! The room was excellent. It was the perfect size for the tons of stuff I had to bring with me for the celebration. The greatest benefit was staying at the same place the party was happening at. Did I mention we got a great rate too!!! Other reviews mentioned issues with paying the valet fees. The valet fees are cheaper than NOLA, so it wasn't an issue. As I mentioned, the valet team took really good care of our vehicles and helped with luggage. Tru and Sky Blu Rooftop Bar are now the #1 spot on my go-to list when I'm in DFW. Erin, I cannot adequately put into words how blessed I am for you helping me celebrate my BIG 50!!!!

We were amazed at how much space there is. The back room got pretty tight when we first arrived since there was a group of 12 there already....they had taken over the tall tables in the middle and the couch. The garden area looked kind of cheesy in pictures so I didn't have high expectations, but this place was a pleasant surprise. It actually works and is very beautiful in person! This venue has a lot of great natural light (I came here during the day), and is very minimalist/trendy. The food/amenities were professionally done and laid out. Parking wasn't a problem, but the event also had valet. It's a hidden gem near the Design District that kind of has you wondering where the hell you are as you're driving up to it searching for it, but ends up surprising you in a good way and fits in very well with the DD vibe in my opinion. The location is a little out of the way...but not too bad. Just a couple of blocks south of I-35, right behind the Hilton Anatole hotel. Parking is somewhat limited. If your event here has valet parking, I highly recommend. The venue is beautiful, but a bit on the "cold" side. Bare walls, concrete floors...think 'minimalist meets trendy". There is a cute garden area with large waterfall, astroturf grass and trendy furniture. The events I have attended were given by private individuals and church functions. While the church functions seemed to go off without a hitch, the parties by private individuals have had their share of problems...specifically with the venue deciding to unexpectedly shut the party off at midnight and declining to serve more drinks because they "ran out of cups." I've read other reviews of other "surprises" the night of the event...and I'm not sure if its because of poor planning by the staff or the unrealistic expectations of the one who booked the venue. If you're booking this venue, I'd say just be sure to get all your expectations communicated and in writing to avoid surprises the night of. If you're attending an event here, expect to have a good time in a slightly smaller than normal setting...but still a good place to party.

I reached out to get some information and was contacted shortly after by the owner, Daymond. After a few email exchanges we set up some time for a venue walkthrough and let me just say, the pictures online do it no justice! This perfectly modern, chic space is nestled in the heart of the design district central to many restaurants, bars and hotels. (We rented a room at the Double Tree Hotel - Market Center which was literally 4 mins from the venue). Perimeter Zen can comfortably accommodate 70 people, there's a projector to display images during events, adjustable lights depending on the mood, a sound system for phone connection or DJ set up, a kitchen/ bar area, chairs, tables, and lots of parking! I was initially concerned that with everything it comes with, the cost would be astronomical; however after more than a few changes to the quote and about 50 emails on my end, Daymond got me to the right price and reserved! I rented the space from 10:00pm-1:30AM on a Saturday night and when I arrived Daymond and Sean were already there with the light preference I requested on display and the slideshow rolling, all my friends and I had to do was put up balloons and get the DJ and bartender acclimated before guest arrived. Daymond and Sean were extremely hands on, continuously asking if there was anything they could assist us with! It was very apparent they care about their guest, and I was reminded of that even more as the night went on when there were a few times they had to remind people that they could not leave the building with any open alcohol containers (cups or bottles) for safety and liability purposes and I truly appreciated that. Most places will just allow any and everything to go on, but not with them, their desire is for everyone to have a great time in their space, safely. I could not have asked for a better team to work with, it was a magical night. The owners are true gems and I would recommend this space to ANYONE looking to host an event with a touch of elegance.
