Our experience with this company was a nightmare…read more Our project manager disappeared after a few weeks, we never received a project schedule despite repeated requests, and we were constantly given last-minute notices and forced to accommodate their last minute timing. We've had to clean up the cigarette butts left all over our backyard so our one year doesn't pick it up and we will most likely have to clean up the debris that their clean up team was contracted to remove over a month ago. They didn't cut the piece of drywall where our water valve is. The project started in early December. After priming the walls in mid-January, they told us to pick a paint color--then disappeared again. When they finally resurfaced nearly two weeks later, it was only to retrieve their dumpster and tell us about the gutter repair (which they had already told us almost two weeks prior). They told us they would send an estimate for the gutter repair. Next week we were hit with an unexplained $3,400 price increase on top of a separate gutter repair fee. For two weeks, we demanded an itemized order to help understand why they suddenly added this cost without telling us. Instead, we got excuses--claims of a robbery, a car driving into their shop, and the owner's divorce. We never got the itemized order and were told it was due to the sealing services provided (but they forgot they had already given us an itemized order for this service, and it was less than 70% of the costs they were forcing us to pay now). Meanwhile, no work was done for close to a month, because during that month they could not find a period to handle the gutter. It's disappointing because we found Reddit reviews that they had provided roofing services to another customer during the same timeline, so we knew at that point that they had no intent of being honest and transparent. We gave them grace multiple times and thought that at the very least we could get a partial refund. We paid a 50% deposit on a $31K job, plus an additional $5K in "progress payments." We've lost over 60% of our deposit with nothing to show for it. When we tried to ask for at least a partial refund of $5,000 out of the almost $20,000 paid, they didn't even respond. Save yourself the stress--stay far away.

He is a hard work but if you don't know what your doing dont over sell your skill set. Tile (no), floor (no) hanging doors (no). The black and white tile is my bathroom and it is so off line it is a sin. The floors have pockets where the new tile has sunk down. The kitchen floor has bucked. Not to mention unfinished work that was paid for. Essentially I am still.paying for the mistakes and wasted premium material. The demo was nice, the painting is fair, but the promise and skills where an over sale and the job was too much. It is what it is.

Recently, we found Luke's Repairs and Remodeling to address the following issues: all interior and exterior doors were replaced and reframed, all pocket doors were replaced with new hardware which required removing and replacing the drywall. We also needed the entire house painted, a closest built around our mechanicals and additional shelving erected in the laundry area, as well as some electrical work. Luke came out, listened to everything we had to say and gave excellent input for the project. He gave us an estimate and stayed within the estimate for the entire job. Luke started on time, communicated throughout the entire timeline and ended on time. Luke, as well as his skilled carpenters, never minded being interrupted with questions and always took the time to communicate clearly. The project took approximately two weeks to complete. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Luke's warehouse to choose the items we needed for the repair and remodeling. Luke also did all the ordering, pick up and checked the materials that were delivered. We never had to bother with any items that were needed for our home. When I asked for his credentials, Luke did not hesitate to provide me a copy of his Kentucky contractor's license and his insurance. We noticed the way Luke was with the men he worked with. They had immense respect for each other. We are confident that the crew will stay with Luke. Finding a quality business to do home repair and remodeling is very difficult. Luke's Repair and Remodeling is a stellar company. My wife said, "Luke and his carpenters have made me fall in love with my home again". As for me, this was a $40,000 project and I could not be happier. We are looking forward to this summer when Luke will be back out to our home to remodel our master bathroom. Thanks Luke.
