I have never had issues with plants I've purchased here. No root rot, not stressed out, no bugs or disease. Every plant I bring home is always happy to be at my house. The service here is very good and they're helpful, but aren't hovering. I find that the quality of their plants is very good for the price, even if sometimes the price feels a tiny bit high. (Sure, you could go to Home Depot and get something cheap, but for a few extra dollars, I prefer more mature plants that are hard to kill considering my lack of green thumb.) Inside, their building is filled with everything you may need: seed, fertilizer, pesticide, tools, patio furniture, fountains, garden stakes, garden decorations - you name it! It's fun to walk around especially after being inspired by their incredible variety outside. They also sell flowers and other items to brighten someone's day if they are at the Virtua Voorhees hospital across the way, but I personally haven't tried their bouquets. Definitely give them a try!

If you are looking to work with a landscaping supplier that values your time and money - Deptford…read moreMulch (now Clementon Garden Center) is NOT for you. After my experience I would now gladly have spent more money with a supplier further away to have dealt with less hassle. They processed three orders for me, and each time gave me a timeframe for delivery and a promise to call when they were about an hour away from that time. I never once received a call, and they never once delivered within the promised window. They would just show up at random and act annoyed when my cars weren't moved so that they could access my driveway. THREE DELIVERIES! In my first delivery, they dumped two yards of sand on my driveway after charging me for 2 yards of fill dirt. When I pointed out that it was sand, they said "Well, this is what WE call clean fill dirt". Awesome. Whatever, I just want to get my project done - I can work with it, it's just not what I want. So I move on. Second delivery, aside from having no call and being no where close to the quoted delivery time, shows up fine. Cool. Third delivery, they send me "4 tons" of blue 3/4 stone cut with about 3-4 yards of dirt, branches, and even some mulch! In all reality, I got about 2.5 tons of actual stone ( even though I paid for 4) - which I had to hand sift for my project, to ensure that no grass or weeds would be able to grow in the gravel driveway I had just spent weeks prepping to avoid this exact problem. I called to complain, the owner wasn't in. They took down my info and said that he'd call me back later that day. No call. The next day comes, no call again. So I call, and I finally talk to the guy. He tells me he's surprised and he's sorry, but they haven't had any complaints in months (I can't imagine this is true at all, considering I'd already been given about 5 reasons to complain at this point myself). All the same, he agrees to come get the unused stone and refund me for it since it wasn't what I ordered - you know, being that it was dirt....instead of just stone. The next day comes, and I don't hear from him as he promised. So I call him, no answer. I send an email asking that we communicate that way instead, since I work long hours and don't want to miss the call. He calls me back a few hours later - three times, during my working hours, and I miss all three of them. I call back - and the phone line is DISCONNECTED! Still, no answer to my email. Then, one of their employees shows up at my house again, unannounced and says he wants to look at the stone, so he can come by at 9 AM the following morning to get it. I show him the stone, he says see ya at 9 and leaves. 9 AM rolls around - nobody shows up. I call - and I get the run around, and get told we'll be there eventually. Mind you - I complained initially on Saturday - it's now Tuesday and this stone has just been sitting in my driveway, making it unusable to me and my family. So finally, at about 4PM - a full 7 hours past the quoted pick up time, the guy shows up and shovels the stone into his truck. He hands me an envelope with $50 in it as a refund, and that's that. All in all, a project that was supposed to take two days took me nearly a week to finish, and resulted in a lot of extra work and frustration on my part because Deptford Mulch / Clementon Garden Center does not care about the quality of their product, their customer's time, or upholding their commitments to those same customers in any way at all. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!

It's a smaller farm than nearby Johnson's Corner farm, and they don't grow any food to my knowledge, so it's much less crowded and chaotic, plus cheaper. You can't pick your own berries or apples or anything, but the hayride out to the "pumpkin patch" is fun to do in the fall, and there is enough to do besides pumpkin picking to stretch it into a full afternoon of inexpensive family friendly fun. They have a playground, goats and alpacas, a small maze, plus plenty of food and live music on the weekends.
