This place is like the twilight zone. The opening hours on the website clearly say walk-ins until 6.30pm. And as they do not answer their phone after 5pm, that's pretty much all the info you have to go on. I legged it across town at rush hour, to arrive at 6.05pm (thinking I still have plenty of time) only to be told that nobody gets seen by a doctor after 6pm. And there doesn't seem to be any way of contacting a manager. When I asked for details, I was told that contacting the manager was just not possible. Place was bleak, grey...the beleaguered receptionist seemed like she was manning a kind of half-sunk ship. My advice? Doctors are expensive. Find one that gives a toss. Conveniently located and great for drop-ins... unlike most other GPs when you need at least 24h advance booking. Like who plans their fecking illnesses?! However this is where the advantages end. The clinic is very sparsely decorated; it feels almost like a pop-up shop. The GP also seems to want to get patients through asap like a conveyor belt. I had an asthma attack the earlier evening and he didn't even use a spirometer to test my lung capacity and prescribed penicillin for my chest infection without asking if I'm allergic to them. I was unimpressed/disappointed with my experience here with Dr. Rafid. Because it was my first time there I had to pay their consultation fee (60.00euro). What I received in exchange for my 60euro was a rushed meeting with a doctor, who did not look into my symptoms and issues enough, to give me an indication of the cause of my illness. Instead of that I was automatically handed a prescription for Augmentin, that is doled out to patient after patient, no matter what their illness is. I found myself frustrated after this visit. He barely looked at my ailment, and gave me very vague advise. I felt extremely rushed and like another sick person on a conveyer belt being sent on my way with my piece of paper for some medicine, which tells me nothing. read more

I went there because I had rapid heartbeating, headaches and a very very sore throat. The doctor checked my throat twice (because I insisted after he said it was fine the first time, the second time he said it could be allergy) and after less than 10 min I was sent home with a prescription of tablets for my heart (then I checked they were not suitable for people with asthma, I´m asthmatic and told it to the doctor several times). One week and a half ago I went to another doctor, it happened that I had an infection, my throat was very inflamated as well as my lymph nodes around my neck. I paid 65€ because it was Saturday, I was not checked properly and got home with a prescription of tablets I should not use, I do not recommend this clinic at all. read more

Very surprised by the service I received here. I only went out of desperation as everywhere else is closed on a Sunday. For some reason I assumed this was a medical cert factory but I got one of the most thorough examinations and sound advice ever from the doctor on duty. He took his time and really made sure he got to the heart of the problem. Recommended. Only thing was, he doesn't do blood tests on site. He gave me a letter for St James; the clinic is open 7.30am-noon every day. I arrived at 7.40, took a ticket and was called half an hour later. So it's all good. read more

I was very satisfied with this experience which obviously isn't a pleasant one to start with. I didn't have an appointment and after being turned away at a different clinic around the corner, I tried this one. The lovely receptionist checked me in and after about 10mins wait I got to see Dr. Nada. Very lovely and professional person, I felt she listened to me and really took her time. I got a prescription and some advice and was told if I don't feel better in a few days I should come back- free of charge. The price is 55Euro for a consultation during the week and 60Euro, I believe, on weekends. read more

Open on a Sunday afternoon which is great. Had to wait quite a while, but was pleased with the service overall. Needed to pay in cash, not sure if this is a regular thing or not, but the receptionist didn't mind me popping to the ATM and coming back. read more

Hi i have been doing my treatment in this clinic for the past 3 years and everything was ok but recently they start charging too much, before repeat prescription was 25 euros, now i have to see a doctor and get charge 55 euros. Again before i would get free letter from them for my blood test, twice a year but last time i went, i was told that i have to see the doctor first to get the letter and pay 55 euros, i was really upset, when i am not sick why should i see a doctor and pay 55 euros. i am really disappointed with them and i can't afford to pay that much every time i need repeat prescription and letter for blood test, so i have decide to look for another doctor whom i can afford to pay. read more

Went for a consultation and it felt like the doctor wanted me out of there asap. She didn't check my temperature and I told her I was having fever, she didn't explain me how to take the medication and when I asked she said the pharmacist would tell me. I honestly don't recommend. It is a walk in service so the more patients the more money. read more

Lovely place. Very handy as you can drop in without appointment - You can never predict when you'll be sick! I've gone a few times and the girls at reception are always chatty and helpful. and Dr. Kashan has great bedside manner and really knows his stuff. There is less of a rushed feeling to it than other, busier clinics I have attended. read more

This clinic in town is good when you need medical attention in a hurry. No appointment is necessary - you just drop in, hope there's not a queue and you get to see a doctor asap. And even though it's bang in the midst of the city centre there is rarely a line of people waiting to get in before you. So you pay about €50 (no more than a private or local GP), get pretty much immediate medical attention and away you go. This is handy as most Dublin doctors demand you make an appointment in advance, which is stupid as nobody plans a a throat infection or any other type of illness that requires antibiotics straight away. The clinic also has a smear test service that's 100 per cent free and is never busy. And it deals with travel vaccinations if you're planning on going abroad. Oh and there is a great dermatology service too. All in all, I'd recommend going here to anyone. Brilliant opening hours by the way - Monday to Sunday. read more

The doctor was very professional and knowledgeable and prescribed an antibiotic as needed. Extremely satisfied and I highly recommend this clinic as one to be trusted and relied on. read more

Used the clinic for several years due to ease of access. However, very disappointed by GP paid service, they don't follow up on blood tests, don't read them on follow up as well, thus not indicating the cause of illness and putting the patient through a lot of stress, unnecessary money and time spent... Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Total sham. No medical history taken - just name, address and date of birth. As soon as I walked in, the doctor treated me like I was an imbecile, just looking for time off (which I wasn't, I didn't even request a certificate). Doctor asked me no questions about my medical history (I could have been a diabetic with a history of heart trouble, and he wouldn't know it) - only what I volunteered, and then proceeded to ignore it. I previously had a hernia that was operated on - in that case the hernia only showed up on ultrasound (not all hernias present as an external bulge). He couldn't see a bulge, so assessed that as irrelevant. Took no notes whatsoever. After doing a stock-standard urine analysis, and very lightly pressing on my abdomen, assessed that it was all in my head (literally said "It's in your head."), and to come back if it continued for more than 7 days, despite the fact that I said I had been suffering from it for over 7 days. Woman on reception said to keep my receipt, since follow-ups are slightly discounted. If the doctor bothered to take any notes, they wouldn't need to see any receipt for the follow-up. God forbid someone was actually suffering from anything serious, because there would be no record of the visit. Hard to believe that my visit complied with any kind of legislative requirements. Stay away! read more
