It is centrally located downtown and shares a decent sized free parking lot with a few other businesses. Inside there are a plethora of small businesses including restaurants, bakeries, a gallery, stores and the Flint Children's Museum and Store. In the back there are plenty of tables and seats to enjoy your meal or snack while there. I was just there to browse and see what they have to offer but unfortunately, I wasn't able to return to try any of the establishments. I do hope to try something on the next go around. On the day that I visited, it was clean, organized and easy to navigate; for the most part it goes around in a circle with only a few businesses e.g. pizza, ice cream place, etc. tucked in a corner. The produce is locally grown and contains no pesticides, etc. If you're into organic produce and locally grown greenhouses/farms, then this place is for you. She even sells organic and "natural" skincare & beauty products now. There's more to the Local Grocer than just greens. It's located in the Flint Farmer's Market and open during market business hours (three days a week, Tues, Thurs, Sat). Not the cheapest prices, but it's worth it.

This can only be classified as a huge SIDE salad in most GOOD restaurants. My first venture to this joint led me to order an, "OVEN Roasted Turkey Sandwich". What should that conjur up? Oven? Hot? No way hozay. Ice cold. The server informed me that the term "Oven Roasted" simply implies that the meat was cut FROM the bird. Okay..............then where does the meat come from that DOESN"T say oven-roasted? So, for eight bucks I can find a plethora of GOOD joints in the Flint area for lunch that actually serve yuo from a table........no counter service. I won't be returning anytime soo.

I love their daily specials, especially the sloppy joes and turkey tacos. When I don't get the special I often indulge in a Big Bad Tom Turkey. That sandwich is phenomenal and big enough to feed even the hungriest man. The people at Thompson Creek are what really make for the experience. I've been known there for years and the employees recognize me whenever I come in. I wholeheartedly believe Thompson Creek has the best turkey sandwiches, check them out.
