Dan was one of the first to respond to my request for help after the blizzard took the top off my tree during the blizzard and left it hanging over my house. He was *amazing*. Obviously, it wasn't safe to remove the tree during the storm, nor for a few days after, but he kept in touch at least twice a day to make sure things were still relatively safe here. He and his crew arrived on the date and time scheduled and removed the 20'+ cedar, located in a 15' gap between two houses, in under three hours, *without damaging anything* - including the rose garden a few feet away. They cleaned up the yard and sidewalk so well we couldn't even tell they'd been here! Most of all, Dan and his crew were such really nice, polite, kind, happy people. The price was more than $1,000 less than the other quotes. Dan is licensed and insured. I will use them again for tree, lawn, and landscaping work. He mentioned that they also do roof repairs and I'd trust them! I'd had estimates from a few other tree companies and rejected them immediately as the men they sent out treated me (over-60 woman) like an idiot, and one company's rep was a bully. I refuse to work with people like that any more, no matter how desperate I am; I would have removed the tree myself before dealing with those businesses. (I've done it before.) I used to manage construction projects and learned that when a contractor starts by telling me how hard a job is going to be, and how busy they are, they need to be avoided. When someone starts this way they either don't want/need the work, or it is too much for their skill set/equipment. I thought that I had hired this business to remove a broken branch. Dan gave me assurance that he would do the job. For four days he gave me a time when he would show and never did.
