My healing there was jumpstarted by having Katie as my case manager, and by the groups that she facilitated that brought up very important discussions that other facilitators did not. I got to talk with my peers about things that I thought i carried alone for my whole life. Katie encouraged me to share my story when i had been so hesitant before, and the response i got from others in the program was profound and very helpful. My time in Katie's office and in her facilitated sessions were a tremendous help to me and i will miss going back so badly. My therapist Leah was absolutely wonderful - she also encouraged me to share my story and was wonderfully supportive through my time at OCR. I also very much enjoyed the sessions that she facilitated. She helped me with some impossibly difficult events currently happening in my life and showed deep care and concern and willingness to help. Anthony was also very kind and caring, when he had no obligation to be. One thing left me wanting though. We were regularly asked for feedback from OCR as to what we'd like to see changed and i never saw OCR take any of our responses to heart. The Women's Group session hosted by Jenna was one of my favorite parts of the week (she is amazing). I regularly asked to have women's group more than once a week. So did many of the women in session with me. Never happened. Multiple patients and i also asked for time to break off into smaller discussion groups, as the "lecture" classes can get tedious. We benefited so much more from more intimidate discussion. I voiced this at least twice when asked directly what i'd like to see changed, and the others in the session agreed that they'd like to see those changes, and nothing ever came of it.

The counselors are genuinely compassionate, and the entire operations team clearly puts heart into what they do. I received exactly the level of care and attention I was hoping for. And I've seen how the groups he leads with transformative practices has made powerful waves in how my peers and I tackle our challenges. Lena is a wonderful CM who embraced me as I am and helped me see a whole new world of possibility, at my own pace, as well as offering deep insights when facilitating our groups. And Dr.Turner has been a wise wizard offering support with tailored medication, speaking to me as an individual, and offering timely guidance. There's a list of more wonderful people here, like Ashly and her sound meditations, and Sapna with her artful activities for making breakthroughs. Jamie also sets a safe space that helps groups open up and process. The environment is welcoming too, which makes the experience less daunting, as well as the intake process with Aljan. The insurance and paperwork process is handled efficiently too. The care and wisdom shared within this facility has greatly influenced my sense of safety and helped me better my life. There's the family we start with, and the family we make along the way, and I will be forever grateful for all the people I've met here. All that to say, I definitely recommend them. The group sessions designed for family members were genuinely transformative for me. They didn't just offer reassurance or pamphlets -- they gave me real, practical tools for how to show up better for my family member during an incredibly difficult time. I came in feeling reactive and overwhelmed, and I left with what I can only describe as a blueprint: a way of understanding what was happening and how to navigate it with more clarity and less fear. If you have a loved one in treatment and you're wondering whether to engage with the family programming -- do it. It made a meaningful difference in how I was able to support someone I love. The staff welcomed me with open arms. I was feeling anxious, depressed, hopeless, helpless. When I arrived the BHT team were always making sure well taken care of and feeling supported. The attending doctor evaluated me and made the necessary changes and by the first third of my stay I was feeling better than when I arrived. The nurses were fantastic, always checking on me. The supervisors made my stay feel comfortable and pleasant. What I appreciated the most was how attentive and responsive were the medical staff. My experience has been transformational, and I am very grateful for LTC. Gilbert and Maria are some of the most inspirational leaders I've ever met, and are clearly extremely devoted and passionate about the work that they do. The entire staff is very caring and friendly, and I've found many new friends in the patients A specific highlight of my treatment was the field trip to a Native American sweat lodge, led by Gilbert. It was magical, being both detoxifying and spiritual - I am definitely going to continue attending when I'm an alumni! A low light was the amount of time it takes to get medication in the morning and evening. It would consistently take anywhere from 10-30 min just to get meds - they definitely need to figure out a more efficient process. Overall, this place is awesome!
