LEPA was perfect. They host their own stage plays, allows the performer to choreograph, direct, write and perform their own creations. The Performers are given assignments to work on at home, and LEPA is always preparing for performances or their own plays. My daughter only needed tap and jazz shoes. She takes dance instruction in ballet, jazz, praise, tap, and lyrical. She also takes drama and singing lessons. LEPA also hosts Field Trips for the youth and production exercises for stage crew, producers, directors and assistants. LEPA is truly a diamond in the rough of South Los Angeles. My friend recommended me and me being decisive, I thought why not the class schedule works so let's give it a try. I'm glad I did!! My son LOVES it and within 3 min of starting the class, he had a big smile on his face and he can't wait to go back to the class. The best thing about the studio is the teacher, Rev. He runs the studio, teach, he is funny, great with kids and he make them feel so welcome. That is so important especially for kids, first they have to love it to want to continue it! Also in case any other moms, dads and caregivers care like I did - it's hip hop, and he picks the songs which are age appropriate :) This December they organized a holiday performance and that was fun. Many pop ups and kids shop & dance. He was running a show all by himself- unless I knew there was someone else - and never losing a smile on his face and greet everyone who came. Having performed at many weddings, they have seen what works well and what doesn't and were able to give us some great advice in regards to the sequence of events (i.e. intros, first dance, speeches, cake cutting, etc). They e-mailed us multiple times to make sure that we were on schedule as far as providing them information like first dance song & music preferences. They also took major initiative in contacting the venue and sorting out logistics with them, which was a huge help. They essentially did all the work, all we had to do was provide our vision and they totally made it happen. We had a few custom requests that they worked hard to accommodate. They even sent someone out to the venue early to make sure that the PA system worked for a portion of the reception that they weren't even responsible for. Truly went above and beyond in terms of preparation. As for the actual reception, these guys absolutely crushed it. They provide emcee service and there were no mistakes. The music was spectacular, we got so many compliments on the band. They definitely were the highlight of our wedding. They were truly the only vendor we booked that we were 100% satisfied with. Their music list is expansive and they did such a great job feeling out the vibe at different points of the evening and responding in kind. They are also willing to learn songs. I'm a deadhead and I have to say that the "Touch of Grey" rendition they learned for us far exceeded my expectations. I did a lot of research on area wedding bands and, amazingly, they were actually on the cheaper side. After seeing them at our reception, I can 100% say that I can't imagine there is a better bang for your buck out there than BTE. If you're booking them for your wedding, please invite me so I can come see them again. In case you are wondering, I booked the 8 piece band and the horn section was totally worth it. I kind of wish I had booked their 11 piece offering.

While some of the dancers have a little more spark than others, you can tell they all are having a great time and doing everything they can to make sure the audience is too. At first, I was hesitant to join Prestige and was unsure of the program, but I felt comfort in knowing that I was being supported in my studies. My friend in the class unfortunately had a situation with another student regarding race. After informing Mr. C, swift disciplinary action was taken, which demonstrated my instructors' zero tolerance stance on discrimination. I want to personally thank Mr. C and Ms. Celia for standing up to unfair prejudice against minorities. I truly cannot say enough about Ms. Celia! As our clinical instructor, she got to know each and every one of us personally and had so many 1:1 teaching moments that I have never experienced before. She truly cared about course material, but most importantly, she cared about us personally, beyond our education. After graduation, I set my standards high and applied to one singular position, confident in my skills from her teachings. I was offered the role with no prior CNA work experience, and my peers and superiors were surprised with my base knowledge from day one. I now work at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, one of the top hospitals in the country, and I wouldn't have been able to do so without the instruction from Ms. Celia.
