we absolutely love this studio. my 4 year old just started dancing there and my older daughter has been dancing there since she was 2.5. and it has been the best experience for her. Its the best environment and we have watched her grow her skills and confidence. She made it to the team last year and it has nothing but the best experience for her and us. love seeing her do what she loves everyday .Our mom mafia and her teachers have become the best support for her and wouldn't change it for anything. Giving 1 star due to being forced, if you want an honest review this is it. Save your child's mental health and don't go to this studio or the sister studio in Lancaster. Your child will be subject to massive bullying from the managers, instructors and the dance mom mafia and their children. If your child has any type of disability this is not the studio for them, they don't accommodate and they have zero empathy and compassion. The dance mom mafia will sit and gossip about other moms, they are like coyotes; one minute they smile and the next they are trying to get your child kicked out of classes and teams. If your child has confidence please take them somewhere that will help them grow and not break them down. The children here are enabled to pick on the vulnerable, some of the instructors are the same way, they do nothing to stop it. They used to record classes but do not any longer because then there is proof of this behavior, instead they have one's word against another and if your child is the one they target he or she is the one they blame. If you love and value your kids think twice. I love mine and value their mental health so we left, two years of bullying is too much, numerous complaints fell on deaf ears. They won't give the time of day for the child that's being picked on to explain anything, they just accept the gang up from the others and accept all the lies and for that they are unforgivable. I have been debating this review for years, First off I am going to start by saying the instructors are great, however the front office staff are some of the worst, most rude people I have ever encountered. The worker named Lindsay seriously should not be working in customer service. My children has been here since they were twinkles, she is beyond rude. The teachers always want us parents to communicate via the front office and she always gives attitude and makes me feel stupid with her smart remarks, every time there has ever been a problem she is condescending. Anytime in general I have ever called this studio she has answered, and she is never nice or friendly, asking simple questions seems to bother her. I feel the owner is unaware of this problem with her employee. I have talked to some of the other parents and they have all told me how rude she is. I pay good money to send my children to this dance studio that is not even local to where we live, but I will be pulling my children from this studio. I refuse to deal with rude customer service. read more

A dance studio that is paid well to teach dance, should provide tickets for family members who are paying for those lessons when a public recital is to be held. Dance Magic Studios doesn't. Their innovative business model doesn't even feel the need to let those family members know they need to buy tickets, or that a recital is coming up until the last minute when it is too late to buy them. Dance Magic Studios, you should share your innovate business model with your customers more often. It has been enlightening. read more

It was a nice studio, but my only concern was it was my daughter free trial, mind you she had never done anything like this so she didn't know what to do. They put her in a class with girls 3 and older that had been doing it for awhile, you could tell. My daughter is just over 2 1/2 yrs old and that what it says on there flyer 2 1/2 to 5. After the first 6 min. The teacher comes out and says " maybe she's not ready yet, we can't have her running like this"..... ok I get the but is it's a toddlers first time wouldn't you think we need to teach her the ropes not just tell me no the first class..... any thought? I grew up here. Most of my life from age 5-18 was spent here and Dance Magic will always be my family. I believe the arts are very important in any childs life, and dance is an exceptional choice for an after school activity for any child. Or even if your child aspires to be the next Bob Fosse, they will get a great start at Dance Magic. Not only did Dance Magic teach me to dance, it also helped for socialization and teaching great values. I think performing also helped me open up as a person, overcome fears, and be a better public speaker and educator in my current life. Dance Magic has always had great combo classes for the little ones. I have fond memories of mine that have obviously stuck with me for 20 years! I've also found them to have superior ballet classes to other studios I've been to all over California. They offer every genre and are strong in each category, so no matter what style you're into I believe Dance Magic has what you're looking for. I think they may even be looking into starting ballroom classes nowadays (don't quote me on that). I know Dance Magic is a place I can come back to any time I'm home and feel like I'm still part of the family. It's fun to come back and take classes whenever I get a chance! Don't forget they offer stellar adult classes too.. not just for the kids. Dance is an incredible workout and I miss it now that I'm a working girl. I just can't seem to get myself to do any other kind of work out because it all seems boring in comparison! You will use muscles you never thought you even had! If you are really intensely into dance, competitions are a lot of fun. I enjoyed the companionship and learning about teamwork. I also learned a lot about hard work and dedication. Dance Magic is also a stepping stone for getting involved even more in the arts with serious things like Antelope Valley Ballet or Dance Dimensions. I enjoy spending time here, it's literally my second home. I love working with the kids daily and seeing growth and improvement! The parents aren't half bad either ;) they are caring, and trust us teachers that we know what we're doing! This studio has the most students in the AV not only because we strive to have strong technical dancers but enjoy having some fun on the side! The teachers and owner care for each and every student and I think the parents see the passion we have and that's why they keep coming back week after week, year after year! :) read more

Even during this unique transition Dance Magic has really come through for the families they instruct. I'm sure all their teachers are great . My daughter has learned a lot from Katie . Dance Magic is a studio filled with passionate, highly qualified, certificated instructors. Most of the teachers are professional dancers who are passing along their expertise and knowledge in all genres of dance. My daughter has grown as a ballet dancer and an artist while attending classes at Dance Magic, and she has been given excellent technique and training...with no need to seek additional instruction elsewhere! My daughter has attended a costly ballet program with a professional company only to learn that training locally with Dance Magic has proven to be superior. To have this level of ballet available in the Antelope Valley is a gift. The teachers seek to really know their students, to offer deliberate training and professional skills, which students have used to further careers in dance.
