Very good place always clean and good staff my kids use to like coming here. They have so much for them todo and the staff is very involved in the activities definitely a great place.

Crossed off dates on a contract. Very classy.

Let's start with saying that I am very disappointed. I thought this place was truly wonderful, and I still think highly of the workers--especially those who do the child care. I was having some trouble with making time to come in, and a notice that their reduced-prices for low income families needed to be updated was the reason for my last visit on April 28th of this year to suspend my membership. I was informed by the kind man who took care of my suspension that it would be for 90 days, so I thanked him and left. Fast forward to a few days ago when I noticed a charge for the full-price membership (I mentioned the low-income?) of $62 for my toddler and I. I went in today to try and have it responded--after all, I was on a 90 day suspension, so why had I been charged? Another man helped me, and was very sweet, though it was glaringly apparent that he could or would do nothing for me, despite his best efforts. He brought out my file and showed me the paper with blacked out and re-written dates. At the prior meeting, I had been informed that their process for suspending or cancelling memberships has to do with the date of sign up, and as such it would be based off of the 16th of the month following the due payment, and that a correction would need to be made. I agreed, and we discussed the amount of days for suspension. I was certainly very surprised to see what dates were written in when I saw the paper again today. Today's employee offered to check with his supervisor to see if there was anything that could be done, and came back informing me that if I didn't have a copy of the paper with different dates, there was nothing he could do. I assume he spoke to his supervisor, but for all I am aware, he may have simply gone into the office and come back out, for the "supervisor" was nowhere to be seen. There was no offer of help, no offer of applying the payment I couldn't afford to months later, and a flat refusal for a refund. I have not been to the gym since at least April, and had planned to return once my schedule had become less hectic and my pay checks more favorable, but this was the nail in the coffin. I will not be returning, and highly recommend that if you are considering this place, to think again. I have no trust for this company, as is the case with any company that would charge a person's card without their consent or knowledge. I am so dejected because my son really loved this place.

Great equipment, nice staff and clean. I've been here several times and I haven't been disappointed yet. Only wish there was a jacuzzi.

I highly recommend swim lessons through the City of Lancaster at this location - Webber Pool…read more My 7 year old had pretty strong water anxiety because when he took swim lessons in Santa Clarita, the swim instructor would promise he wouldn't push his head under water, and then as soon as he relaxed, he would do exactly that. Then of course my son would choke badly because he had no warning. I scolded the instructor and told him not to do that...and then he did it again. I complained to the manager in Santa Clarita, and he very kindly apologized, but the damage was done. My son went from loving the water to being petrified. I took him to my brother's pool to try to play with him and get him over it, and he clung to me like a barnacle. So this summer we gave the lessons at City of Lancaster a try. My poor son was so worried, that he was trembling the entire ride there. He was afraid the instructor would lie to him and scare him on purpose like the last one did. Do you know how long it took for his Webber Pool instructor, Garrett, to gain his trust, and get him over his fear? Exactly ONE lesson. By the end of that lesson, he had dipped his face in the water and jumped off the edge of the pool into his arms, shrieking with happiness. Garrett gained my son's trust, and he kept it. He was so encouraging and relaxed that my son gained confidence in himself immediately. He went from shivering with anxiety the entire ride there, to gleefully telling everyone he met at the grocer store that he just came from swim class and he loved swim class and he got to jump in the water and do you like swimming cuz I love swimming... I am so happy! This means so much to me that my boy regained his love of water. A manager in Lancaster told me the instructors all use the methods recommended by the Red Cross. When I look at the other classes going on, all of the kids look like they are having fun, and the instructors all seem kind and patient. The pool was very clean, and there was a lifeguard on duty. Excellent, confidence-inspiring instruction, clean pool, and lots of fun. Give it a try if you are looking for swim lessons for your little one.

We were happy enough to refer several friends because we believed in the program. Unfortunately, our experience yesterday, Friday 7/31 completely changed my opinion. When we arrived for Blake's regular swim lesson yesterday, we were told that his time slot had been given to another child. No one called, emailed, or texted us to let us know. We showed up expecting his usual lesson only to find out that his spot was gone. When I asked why, I was told that my lesson package had expired. I had purchased a 20-lesson package, and I was never verbally informed that it expired after six months. The staff member simply said, "It's on the paperwork. You should have read it." I was never given that paper when I paired for that 20 lessons package. I'm not upset that the lessons expired, I understand businesses have policies. What upset me was that they took away my child's regular time slot without any notice or courtesy call. A simple phone call or email would have prevented us from wasting a trip and would have given us the opportunity to renew before losing our spot. The response I received made the situation even worse. I was told, "We're very busy. That's just how it works if you don't pay." After being a loyal customer for almost a year and referring multiple families, that level of customer service was incredibly disappointing. This experience made me feel like existing customers are no longer valued now that the school has grown. Policies are one thing, but treating customers with respect and communicating important changes should be a basic expectation. Sadly, because of how this situation was handled, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope the school improves its communication and customer service so other families don't have the same experience. UPDATE: Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate that the two expired lessons were restored. However, my concerns go beyond the lessons themselves. The app logged me out, my password no longer worked, and there was no option to reset it on my own. In the past, the previous staff member was always patient, helpful, and willing to assist with password issues. Unfortunately, my recent experience was completely different. The current staff member was rude and unprofessional. She demanded my phone and repeatedly raised her voice, saying three times that she wanted to see my password. She appeared frustrated by my questions instead of trying to help resolve the issue. I also still have concerns about the lesson expiration policy. I purchased a 20-lesson package, yet all 20 lessons expired after only six months. If the policy is that 10 lessons expire after six months, it doesn't make sense that a 20-lesson package would have the same six-month expiration period. I would appreciate a clear explanation of how that policy works. My goal in leaving this review is not simply to complain, but to encourage better customer service, clearer communication, and improvements to the app so other families don't have the same experience.

I always try to leave honest reviews based on my experiences, and unfortunately our experience at…read morethis swim school was disappointing. I hope sharing what happened helps other parents make an informed decision. My child was a complete beginner. After only his third swim lesson, one of the coaches loudly said, "He's everything but nowhere near ready." My child heard the comment. Whether the coach intended it that way or not, saying something like this loudly within earshot of a young beginner is discouraging and unprofessional. Beginners are there to learn, and feedback should be constructive, especially for young children. As the weeks went on, a different coach was assigned to my child, and things initially improved. Then, without much explanation, my child was moved up to the next level. I wasn't concerned about him advancing quickly. In fact, I would have been perfectly happy for him to stay at his current level longer. My priority is that he truly masters the skills required for each level before moving on. The promotion felt rushed, and no one clearly explained why he was ready. The communication afterward was equally disappointing. We were told by one swim manager to change to a different class time because of the level change. When we returned, another swim manager looked at the schedule and told us we were "supposed to be in the 12:30 class but didn't come and wanted to change the schedule," making it sound as though we had caused the problem, even though we were simply following the instructions given to us by their own staff. When I asked which coach my child would have, I was met with a sarcastic response: "You don't remember the last coach you were with?" This was a perfectly reasonable question because my child had just moved to a new level, and I knew coach assignments could change. What made this interaction especially disappointing was that the parent immediately before us had asked the same question and was answered politely and cheerfully. When I asked, I received a sarcastic response instead. The contrast in how we were treated was difficult to ignore and left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Things became even more uncomfortable when my child was initially assigned to one coach, who audibly sighed upon seeing the assignment. He was then reassigned twice before ultimately ending up with the same coach who had previously made the "nowhere near ready" comment. During that lesson, I watched closely because my child was visibly anxious. The coach seemed impatient and dismissive. At one point, he aggressively pulled up the sleeve of my child's rash guard instead of calmly helping him. My child would try to communicate, but the coach often seemed more focused on getting him to comply than listening to what he was trying to say. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated observation. Throughout the program, I saw other coaches lose their patience with young children as well. I witnessed coaches speaking to children in irritated tones, yelling instructions while children were already crying, and continuing to push them instead of helping them calm down and regain confidence. I understand that teaching swimming requires firmness and that safety is the priority, but there is a significant difference between being firm and showing little empathy toward frightened beginners. Swimming is not just about teaching strokes. It's about building confidence and trust, especially for young children who may already be nervous in the water. Patience, encouragement, and kindness are just as important as technique. We completed the program because it had already been paid for, but this experience left us disappointed. We will not be returning and will be looking for a swim school where young beginners are treated with more patience, empathy, respect, and professionalism.
