Especially as your child gets older. They know how to keep things fun, yet still educational, for the littles, and keep things rigorous and fun for the older kids. The instructors have high expectations for every age group and teach the kids to rise to the occasions set! Their competition teams are also great. It's our first season being a part of that and my child loves it. As a parent, my FAV aspect is their shows/recitals. They are so fun to watch as they put on an actual show. I love how it prepares them for future productions and it's enjoyable as an audience member! Oh! Also, they have adult classes!! Those have been fun to participate in and get myself moving!!! For the very little kids (under 5), it's less structured because they are so little and wiggly, but the progression as the kids move into ages 5-6, and then ages 6-8 is totally seemless and more structured as they age. If you're looking for strict scary or pushy, this isn't the place for you! Kathleen is hardworking and encourages the kids to be as well, but there's no undue pressure for perfection or mean disciplinary nonsense. It's just a friendly and magical place to dance and have fun!

I tried other studios in the past, but ultimately felt a sense of family and belonging here. The instructors did an incredible job of challenging me while also allowing me to grow at my own pace which is not always the case at every studio. The Worthington's are truly like family to me, and I have made friendships to last a lifetime. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, both the staff and other students. In addition to private dance instruction, Arthur Murray also offers group lessons, and "practice" parties. There are instructors and other students to dance with so, no worries if you don't come with a partner. They teach such a variety of dances, Bachata, Rumba, Salsa, Tango, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Hustle, Swing, two step, and Waltz, to name a few. Have a special occasion coming up and want to put together a special couples dance, or any dance routine, this is the place to go. I will say, the 45 minute private lessons are not cheap, however, well worth it. Plus, with weekly private lessons you are invited to group classes and the practice parties. I've found it to be a very good "ME" investment. What's not to love about spending time in a dance studio with good people, learning, dancing, socializing, in a very positive atmosphere, with a group of fun loving good people. It really is mostly a location thing and I had to prioritize another (also great) workout studio near my home that I could walk to in a shorter time that it took me to drive or ride my bike to Pulse. But about this place: I love that you can take classes back to back so you can get both strength training and cardio out of the way. And they even have wonderful recovery/muscle-repair type classes as well. Anyway, I miss Pulse! I hope their schedule and my schedule align sooner than later because I would love to go back and dance my butt off!
