Especially as your child gets older. They know how to keep things fun, yet still educational, for the littles, and keep things rigorous and fun for the older kids. The instructors have high expectations for every age group and teach the kids to rise to the occasions set! Their competition teams are also great. It's our first season being a part of that and my child loves it. As a parent, my FAV aspect is their shows/recitals. They are so fun to watch as they put on an actual show. I love how it prepares them for future productions and it's enjoyable as an audience member! Oh! Also, they have adult classes!! Those have been fun to participate in and get myself moving!!! Fun | Great for all kids…read more My daughter expressed an interest in doing dance this past year, so I thought I'd enroll her in a class here. I was recommended to also join this school from one of our neighbors. If you're looking to enroll your kids, they go by the academic school calendar, so enrollment begins around the time school starts. When schools are off on holidays and snow days, it applies to this dance school as well. It's something to keep in mind. My 6 yr old is enrolled in Miss Megan's Tap-Acro-Jazz Dance once a week. This age range is 5-6yr olds. She's about 4 months in into this class and enjoys it. Parents are not allowed to sit in and watch. However, there are two dates when parents are allowed to sit in and watch how much progress the kids have made since the start of class. It's a popular class, so it seems like a full class. They start off with tap warmups then work into their choreographies and switch to Jazz. They end the hour long class with acro, and this seems to be the favorite part of the class. My daughter tells me she loves acro because she gets to do fun exercises, like walking on a balance block. Everything is safe and appropriate for their age. Miss Megan has the class flowing well and transitions all of the kids onto the page somehow. Sometime in December they do measurements for performance clothing/ costumes in June. I believe it is about $100. Every month, the tuition is $72 paid through their website. For this particular class, kids need to buy jazz shoes, tap shoes, and a leotard or something similar. Communication is great, as Miss Megan sends a monthly newsletter with important events and dates coming up. We're excited to watch the showcase in June. So far, we recommend this activity and this school.

I signed my daughter up in second grade, which is pretty young for a structured activity, especially for my then dreamy, imaginative child. Within a few weeks, she was loving it. Eight years later, she had taken most of the classes and levels, including three years of performance company and was ready for a steady stream of high school theater productions and classes at NW Dance Project in PDX. Now that she is in college, she is a teacher and choreographer herself at places like Willowbrook, Musical Theatre camps and dance classes. Campus organizations and professors invite her choreographic input. What's nice about dance is that it is not only a physical outlet but also a musical, theatrical and collaborative experience. Dancing is one of my daughter's greatest joys. I appreciate the whole extended team at Innovative from the past decade. Their collective work makes the world a better place.

Love love love the little gym! My son is about to turn 7 months and we signed him up around 4…read moremonths. Let me tell you... HE LOVES IT! He enjoys the songs and the circle time and then loves exploring around on all the different soft gym mats. His teacher Jordan is amazing! Very energetic, welcoming, kind and careful with all the littles. My son lights up when we sing songs and try different stretches and tumbles. He likes to engage and see the other babies, so far he's been the smallest one in class so he really likes to see the other babies crawl around and play. We are in the bugs class so my self and my husband can both attend which has been so great. It's a family outing and we love seeing our little guy grow in his movement and social confidence! We also joined the little gym in the 4th of July parade which was such a fun experience! They have so many different offerings too like birthday rooms and a fun night class so parents can have a date night! So excited to continue our journey here. The location is great, the staff members are all super nice and always so friendly. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I have a 14 month old and a lot of people in the class had smaller kids and toddlers as well. We instead found MyGym and they had so many more options like a ball pit, slides of various sizes, small rock climbing area, hanging areas and offered structured classes at a more affordable price as well along with a tiral period.

IMO Murray is not a good school!!! Geraldine is anything but patient or enthusiastic (per other review) as a teacher. I did not feel she invested in her dancers at all. In fact, when my kids were there, the dancers often complained about how she treated them. I did not like the fact that parents were not allowed to observe classes or voice their concerns. If they questioned her, she would retaliate by kicking the dancer out of her school. She has a long history of doing this, just ask around. It was traumatic for everyone! Plenty of other Irish Dance schools to pick from, just not this one!

Although normally I would consider it premature to write a review after one experience, Jasmin's class was so fantastic in fitting my needs that I felt compelled to do so. I am at the age where I am no longer considered young, but definitely not ready to be labelled as old (44 to be exact). I took up ballet as an adult in my late thirties, and learned how to do my first split at 40. Women who are in my demographic (and younger) need to know one thing if you are seeking and craving the lines and grace of a dancer: IT'S A HARD AND FRUSTRATING PROCESS. It takes years. It takes commitment. And it takes a good instructor. That's where Jasmin comes in. She knows her stuff. I've had some great teachers, but they are all in S.F., and frankly I'm just tired of taking that nasty BART train to the city every week. That's the one thing I can now say I'm too old for. But finding Jasmin is a salvation. After trying another local dance studio for many weeks with a teacher who only cared for the clique student clientele she had already built, I almost gave up on continuing my dance education. Yes, I do take yoga, pilates, and barre classes, but none of these will make you a dancer. They are meant to be complements to your main instruction. Jasmin's class is the main instruction. She corrects your form. She will be strict about it. And if that frustrates you then she is doing her job. And don't expect to dance until you have attained some degree of competence at the basics. Which means, like me, you may be at the barre for a couple of years before you are allowed to put even one socked foot in the middle of the dance floor (actually, I don't think this is true of Jasmin's class, but no one looks to good in the center without good form). The best teachers are ones you want to punch in the face when you think you can't stretch a little more, turn out a little more, hold a position a little more...if you are really looking to improve or learn ballet for the first or second time, then you should expect this frustration when you go to class if you want to get better. Jasmin will make you better without making you want to punch her in the face (but only because it would make you feel guilty to mess with that adorable face)!

She is a true ballerina that has the passion to teach adults the beauty of this art. I had in past years attempted to take an adults class but the instructors weren't as stern in teaching the right movements and helping you correct so as a beginner I always got frustrated and never went back to them (when I use word "stern" I don't mean Jasmin gets in your face but I appreciate her seeing the potential in us enough to take the time to explain and show us correct form and technique)... But really, try the class and you will be hooked...I know I am! Is it possible to crave going to class ? I really hope you enjoy the class as much or more than I do . P.S. This is my true and honest review. No discount or free classes were provided, in case you feel it sounds too good to be true...well it is true and it's that good
