My child has danced there for a couple years. The first year was fine... I think? But maybe I missed the warning signs because I was new to dance. The second year was stressful, but we made it through. And even returned for a third year because my child loves seeing friends and Miss Kat. We will not be returning though for the following reasons: -there is not enough staff. Bridgette is usually teaching and her son or a volunteer is in the office. Neither of them ever have answers for normal questions. It leaves you to be rude and interrupt a class or have to chase Bridgette down between classes. -fundraising funds are somehow missing until the very last class. Then you can't even use all of it. But they can't give it back to you. So you have to "donate to the parent organization" or sign up for summer classes to use it. -costumes are always missing and changing. You blindly pay $100 and get a $25 costume. -waiting room is always crowded, crazy hot, and dirty. Not to the point of being super gross. But like it only gets cleaned one day a week. -generally unorganized. The songs were changing the week before the end of the year recital! If you want a place for your kid to get out energy, it's fine and okay priced. But if you want nice recitals and competitions, find another place.

A friend suggested that I check out Donna's and I'm glad we did! First of all, Donna is extremely responsive. She usually answers email inquiries within an hour or so, but I've never waited longer than a day for a response. In correspondence with the school they are always polite and informative. One of the selling points for me on this studio is that they don't push you to buy a million things and their tuition is affordable. Kids in the three and four year old combination class aren't required to wear anything particular and aren't required to purchase shoes until they know they are performing in the recital. That is a huge relief considering you never know how kids are going to be in terms of sticking with something. Another perk is that boys dance for free at this studio! They just have to pay the registration fee and then a costume fee if they choose to dance in the recital. This is an amazing option if you have both a son and a daughter. The studio itself is well lit, clean and spaced out. There is a large waiting area for parents where we can see in to the classroom and check out with the kids are up to, but the kids can't really see out to the parent area. The studios are spacious and mirror lined. Everyone we've interacted with at the studio is extremely friendly and my kids absolutely love their teacher and the aide. If you are looking for a dance studio, I highly recommend you check out Donna's.

She was enrolled but quickly realized she did not want to dance anymore. I shared this information with Kim and she became insistent that we revisit the studio to try and convince my daughter to dance. My daughter was in tears at the thought of going back, but Kim would not respect our decision to leave. I had paid hundreds of dollars in anticipation of being with the studio for the season, but my daughter only attended a single class. I let Kim know that we were done and that I would like a refund. She denied my refund and could only offer studio credit (of five cents) although I had no intention of returning EVER. She is great to work with as long as you do what she wants. Once you have a problem, or wish to separate from the studio, it is a HUGE hassle. In her words, she is "godly." Be warned when dealing with this studio. She asks her favorite moms to write positive reviews to flood out the true negative reviews.
