This place was recommended to me by a trusted source while I was extremely ill, so I went to seek…read morecare. I had numerous symptoms (high fever, enflamed lymph nodes, sore muscles, slight ear muffling, dehydration, etc) and Ryan the PA who saw me did not run any tests, but just looked in my ear, said I had an ear infection, and prescribed me amoxicillin. I didn't have any ear pain and it didn't explain my other symptoms, but I'm not a doctor so I trusted his expert opinion. I began taking my antibiotic same day, but two days passed and I saw zero improvement and my symptoms actually got worse. I decided I needed to return to urgent care since I was clearly misdiagnosed at my first visit. At the second visit, I told Megan the NP (she's great) my symptoms and she looked in my throat and immediately knew it was mono. She ran tests to confirm and I did indeed have mono. She switched my antibiotic -- which turns out I didn't need, but she did not want to stop mid-antibiotic treatment so I wouldn't build resistance -- because she said taking amoxicillin when I have mono could cause a rash. I had already taken amoxicillin for those two days between my two visits, and switched to the new antibiotic. A week later, I developed a full body rash that lasted for 14 days, all due to an antibiotic that I did not need because of a MISDIAGNOSIS at my first visit. I never had an ear infection, did not need amoxicillin, but because of a careless PA and a misdiagnosis, I took the antibiotic i didn't need and had to pay for a useless visit and physically suffer through a full body rash caused by the amoxicillin taken while infected with mono. Now rapid med is taking ZERO accountability, and will not refund me for my first visit because they said the care I received at my first visit was "appropriate". I didn't realize they consider misdiagnoses and prescribing medicine that then causes unnecessary suffering appropriate care, or else I never would have gone here in the first place. They are careless and lack accountability, and just want to get you in and out of the door, regardless of whether they actually treat your illness or not. $450 later after two visits wasted due to a misdiagnosis the first time around.

I had to switch to Dr Phipps in Sept 2025 due to my long time physician going private. Initially I…read morewas very pleased with Dr Phipps and enjoyed the one-on-one conversations during my visits. Thought I'd found a really good replacement for my previous Dr of almost 30 years. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I recently requested a visit for lab work due to a handful of health concerns. It took them 1 month to call with results. Labcorp notified me my results were posted at their portal after 10 days. I was able to view and download the results but still needed Dr Phipps' expert opinion on most of it. I expected a call within days. If I had them, they had them. It took them three weeks to call me with results. I called and messaged during that time asking for feedback or updates on when I could expect to hear anything. I went three weeks with no response. When I did finally get a call, it was a joke. It was apparent he'd spent no time on the results and gave the nurse a few buzzwords to appease me. The labcorp results showed my bloodwork numbers from last Sept right next to the new results. When I asked what the Dr thought about the improvement (some dramatic) over the previous 6 months, I was told "oh he didn't have those in front of them". Bullshit. I had them. He had them. It was lazy and extremely disappointing. Also, during my visit Dr Phipps recommended a new Rx that he believed would be better for me when compared to what I was currently taking. Immediately there were pharmacy and insurance problems. I needed Dr Phipps to do one simple thing so I could proceed. I called and messaged repeatedly asking for his help. To this day, 5.5 weeks later, I still have not received a response to these requests. If you're looking for a family physician that will provide timely and thorough results, consistent and timely feedback/communication, and the level of "give a damn" that you'd expect from a family physician, Phipps Family Medicine is not for you!

Have been seeing Dr. Phipps and/or his nurses for years and love the people and expertise there…read more However, in the past few years, the promptness of service has dramatically gone down. Every test result, prescription refill, etc., takes 3-4 phone calls AT LEAST to get something done/answers. Love the people there, but it's getting extremely frustrating.

I've been a patient at HV Family Medicine for over 10 years and have always trusted the care I…read morereceived. I even referred my 76-year-old father to them, which makes what happened recently all the more disappointing. With HV's transition to a membership-based model starting May 30th, my father scheduled a physical for May 27th. This was an important visit due to a recurring infection that required bloodwork. He followed all instructions, fasted, and even received two reminder emails instructing him to arrive at 8 a.m., fully hydrated and 15 minutes early--which he did. After waiting nearly 20 minutes in the lobby, he was called up to the front desk and informed he would not be seen because he hadn't joined the membership program. No prior call, no warning. When he asked why he wasn't notified ahead of time, no one had an answer. This appointment was before the transition date, and to turn away a 76-year-old patient with known medical issues--after he followed every instruction--felt unacceptable. It wasn't just poor communication, it was a failure of care. We expected better from a practice we once trusted and held in high regard.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!…read more Tried to get my son an appointment here. I had emailed them everything they requested. Except his shot record. As we delay. They will not see you if you don't follow their immunization schedule. They couldn't have just told me that over the phone? Instead they waited a whole day to respond and say "sorry". Thankfully I didn't wait around on them and found different practice that actually cares about the children & parents over money!!! What happened to my body, my choice?!? Like this is my child, not yours, not the states!!! It is my choice!! Oh only use that when it's convenient or fits your narrative. This place disgusts me!

Called and told to use the portal. If you leave a message they do not call back. Waited three days before I had to call again. Have screwed up a prescription and when I called they fixed it but did not call me back to let me know. Have had two appointments cancelled over Thanksgiving break. One I can understand but two seems like the scheduled but then cancelled to take Thanksgiving off. Called to complain and set up new one and the staff hung up on me. Called and left a message for the office manager. She called back to say she reviewed the call and unfortunately the doctors are human and things come up. She explained that what I thought was not the case and pretty much ignored my concerns and opinion.
