You get what you pay for. Looks nice on the outside but as we watched the construction every day…read morewe pointed out issues that they ignored until further into the build so previous work had to be redone. Windows were cheap, you can hear wind howling through. Load bearing porch beam was only sitting on 1/4 of its pier on one end of porch, the other end was supported only by the sheeting from the garage. Since my husband is in construction, we added additional supports after workers left. There are no braces in the floor so the floor bounces as you walk on it, but we'll go down into the crawlspace and add the 2' braces. Roof trusses had up to 1 1/2" gaps with the room framing which left the ceiling with a crack. Communication was so-so and there was no supervisor inspecting anything except a couple times during the build. You would think that since they knew my husband would be living on site, they'd take care to do things right the first. Fortunately we took pictures during each stage to document issues. I feel sorry for the buyers who don't get to see the bones of their house. Really sorry we used this builder. We've now lived in the home for a year. At least it's insulated well.

The problem we have now with Skyline is their terrible follow-up, or lack of, when there was a problem with the electrified dry lot fence. I called three times. My wife twice. I even sent an email explaining the problem. Zero contact. I did note another review that was also a low rating because of Skyline's lack of communication. It is too bad... especially since we referred two neighbors to them in the past two years.....but no more......

Thankfully, when I came home to see our amazing tile guy installing some hideous piece of leopard print back splash, I whipped out my photo of the mild color stone actually purchased. Did he have to tear it out? Yes. Did it cost us, again? Yes. However, Alpine Granite still gets five stars for graciously acknowledging the mistake, and taking immediate steps to correct the issue. Haley and Flora were wonderful to work with and insisted on a second measurement to ensure accuracy. Josh also gets five gold stars for his meticulous install, professionalism and gracious attitude.
