Unfortunately, this second experience was disappointing from a professionalism and communication standpoint. After receiving a quote, I reached out multiple times -- roughly six attempts -- but did not receive a call back. A simple returned call, even to say he was unavailable or backed up, would have gone a long way. When a project is time-sensitive and weather-dependent, communication matters. In addition, some of the earlier painting work that was performed (barn, bunkhouse, and tool room) showed quality issues that I didn't expect. Not enough to complain about at the time, but combined with the lack of follow-through, it painted a clear picture (no pun intended). I prefer to support local trades, and I understand contractors get busy, but professionalism and responsiveness are important -- especially when quoting high-dollar projects. Unfortunately, based on this recent experience, I won't be moving forward with Dandy Painting for the ranch house.

They never showed up when they said they would and it took 5 weeks to stain 1800 sq feet. The stain was thinned out so much that the color was not at all what we expected, and it was spilled in my front yard which now sports a large dead spot. We have paid them in full and still have yet to hear from them about finishing one corner that was missed and address the marks caused by pressure washing. Save your money, don't hire this company.

I began the project myself with a sander from a tool rental. Before the floors were ready I began looking for a product to apply and called ACE Flooring for product help. Chuck was able to meet me the same day to look at the floor that I had prepped (I thought I was ready) but far from it. Calling ACE was the best choice I made as he had a fair price with a crew on site to take over and did a fantastic job. I soon realized how passionate the team was about taking 100 plus year old floors and make them look beautiful. We have received so many compliments which made the investment totally worth it.
