On Saturday, September 21st Jennifer texted me less than two hours before she was supposed to arrive asking to reschedule. At the time it wasn't a big deal, so we rescheduled for the following day at 4pm. Jennifer ended up texting me the next day, Sunday, again less than two hours before she was supposed to arrive for her rescheduled cleaning saying she wouldn't make it. We then rescheduled a second time for the next morning. She said she would arrive between 9-10am but she NEVER SHOWED! I texted her to see if she was still coming but never received a call or text as to why she didn't show! Jennifer had said she was more than happy to work us into her short term rental rotational cleaning but how could I trust she would ever show up to clean? Three different times she was supposed to come clean but never came! It's a shame because I was looking forward to working with Jennifer but this is very unprofessional. I guess she's just too busy to take on new clients!

But then the next two out of three times I hired her, paying her ahead of time, she cancelled, blaming the weather, and refused to give me my money back. The first time she didn't show, she texted me 20 minutes before she was supposed to be there, saying that because of the snow she was going to clean someone else closer to her house, and do me the next day. I needed it cleaned that day. I frantically made a dozen phone calls and found someone else to do it. After I told her that, four hours later, she told me that I shouldn't have done that because she would have gotten her assistant to do my house, whereas before she had said she was doing it the next day. I told her I wanted my money back, and she said she'd only give me credit. I said if you cancel on me with 20 minutes notice and I have to pay someone else, I need a refund. She said that she would have to wait til the banks opened on Monday to refund me. This was an obvious lie, since I paid her with Venmo, which works just fine on weekends. But I didn't call her on it, because I had already paid for two more cleanings. The next one we had scheduled she did, but the one after that, she told me the day before that she might not do it if it snows. I told her if she didn't do it I expect a refund. She avoided answering. Sure enough, it snowed and she cancelled. Again, I frantically call a dozen people. (Despite the snow, they're all out and working.) I finally found someone. Jessica refuses to give me my money back, saying that I can use it as credit. But I don't trust her anymore, and I already ruined two workdays trying to find last minute coverage. I don't need to go through that a third time. Further, she lies. She lied that she needed to wait for the bank to reopen. She lied that she was going to get her assistant to do my job. She lied that her contract says that there are no refunds if she cancels. She says how could I expect her to risk her life in a dangerous snowstorm-- I don't and didn't, it is anyone's judgment call to not drive when it doesn't feel safe, that's totally reasonable but then just return my money I paid you for the job you didn't do. I expect her to lie more and say this isn't true, but if anyone wants proof I'm happy to send you screenshots of all our text messages. I told her that I would leave a negative review on Yelp and on the community forums if she didn't pay me back for the two jobs she cancelled, but she said she doesn't care because she already has enough clients. So here I am. Be warned.
