I worked with Neal to help me with my disability claim for the 2nd time around. Being out of work for 4 years, I had no income. SSA average the last 10 years of work for your income monthly. If the 4 years, of no income, was averaged in, my monthly rate would of been so low I would not be able to survive. NEVER GO TO BINDER AND BINDER. DON'T GO TO ANY BIG CORPORATION DOING DISABILITY. BETTER CALL NEAL! To be able to actually see and talk to the lawyer makes it personal and I; as the claimant, felt so much better knowing he was right around the corner. I lost my first claim, for 2014, because I hired Binder and Binder, and they never submitted my latest documents. Binder and Binder took my case as they were filing for Bankruptcy, my lawyer left the firm, and all the screw up and I lost at the appeals level. Neal works hard, and is very accurate with the documents. When he was speaking the Judge, during my hearing, he was on the same page with the Judge,discussing submitted medical documents which is important. Social Security frowns on duplicate medical documents. Neal was able to organize and submit my documents appropriately. He was very flexible on where to meet to discuss my case. When i hired/paid the retainer i was told about diff possible outcomes that may or may not take place, basically i was told what he knew i wanted to hear. Then when the case was finished i received the exact sentencing my lawyer explained he would fight against and stop from happenning. Not once during my case did he ask me to obtain any reference letters from my boss, leaders in the community, or anything else that would paint a positive detailed picture of who i am, whats important to me and what i believe in. I take full responsibility for my choices that led to the court case, however, i firmly feel that i was treated like some unimportant name on a piece of paper and just another paycheck for the attorney. I have researched several other cases that have gone thru the same court house with much more severe charges who ended up with a slap on the wrist. I 100% would never use this law firm again or recommend them to anyone. The attorney and his staff were pleasant/courteous to deal with, but was in no way whatsoever the tough, aggressive spokesman i thought i was hiring. I'm very, very disappointed in my decision to hire this law firm and if i could do it over again i wouldve hired Lenny Crone. I went to Attorney Waterfall to represent me in my divorce and custody of my children. The divorce…read morewas quick but when it came to the custody hearings, well those were a nightmare. First, if you expect Attorney Waterfall to speak to you with respect and treat you with dignity then forget it. The first custody hearing seemed as if my ex wife had dual council and I had none, I was even told to "stop talking" in the closed door hearings in front of my ex wife and her lawyer even though things were in my agreement that I didn't agree to. The following meetings my requests for modification were met as if I was "asking for the moon". Then came time to pay another retainer fee, which is steep, but being told that more time with my kids was possible I paid it. When time came to meet with my council I received a phone call saying "Attorney Waterfall had other appointments and would call to reschedule". After numerous attempts on my part to reschedule and put in more motions for modification of my unfair custody and visitation my calls were not answered. He took my money and ran. Unless you are a celebrity then Attorney Waterfall will not help you unless you want a guy who is more interested in the "quick win" then what is in his clients best interest.
