We hired Daniel to set up a trust for my mother as my dad passed unexpectedly and we didn't want to go through the same thing all over again. I saw great reviews for this lawyer so I decided to go with him. He was very communicative and timely in responses when it came to asking for services and payment for his services, but became hard to reach after he received payment. I had to email and call over and over asking where we were in the process. Keep in mind we paid a premium to have him as a lawyer (several thousands). It's been over a year now and we got a letter from the city saying that we didn't transfer the house to my mothers name correctly. We paid thousands for this to be done! He mentioned that he would get back to me after the weekend and it's been over a week of me having to reach out several times for a response. He admitted that he skipped a step which is why we are getting a notice in the mail and he would fix it. He sent over an affidavit and said we needed to get it notarized. I told him he should send over a notary like he did the first time and that we shouldn't have to pay anything. He said he would consider sending a mobile notary because it was $50, but failed to consider we paid thousands for him. Infuriating! We argued on the phone for a couple minutes until he finally understood he would need to pay for the notary. Printz has been a hard lawyer to work with. He's inconsistent, unreliable, and I feel like I can't trust him to get what we paid him to do. I wish I could go back in time and go to a law firm instead of him for the extra backing. Please save your money and look elsewhere. read more

Daniel was very helpful to my spouse and me when we re-did our wills earlier this year. He is kind, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable. He was very responsive during the first part of our document-writing process yet became unresponsive after we had paid but hadn't quite finalized the wills. Like the one-star reviewer here, I had to email and call Daniel multiple times over the course of six weeks to get him to respond and finalize our wills. What finally got him to finish the work was me using the website to set up an appointment with him and then telling him over the phone that I had sent in all the information he needed to finish the wills. He never explained why he had not returned my emails or phone calls. We did finish the work and my spouse and I were happy with his work. I just wish his responsiveness was more consistent. read more

This man is wonderful. I have been going around in circles trying to find someone to help me visit my mother. My sister has a POA and has used it to abuse my grown children and I. She is mentally unbalanced and won't allow us to visit my mother in assisted living. There is no other reason than my aunt left me in her will and not my sister. Daniel was the best! At our first meeting with him, he explained everything about estate planning up front, took his time, and we left with a wealth of knowledge. My wife and I then took our time (over a month) determining how we wanted to proceed, and he completely respected that. He was able to see me in person and explain the system to me, in order to work with the executor of the trust, and what to expect! After our fathers passing and being that we live on the other side of the country we needed local help in San Diego to assist us to investigate on our family trust. in order to find the "TRUTH" not from the original family trust but the 2 amended trust that were done after our father was diagnosed with dementia. I knew this could get expensive. but I needed answers, I made a deposit and needed to review the new documents. After sending the deposit, 1 written letter was sent to the "New Executer" to receive copies that we did get to review. Now we are wanting to proceed to contest the family trust, we have made numerus calls, left voice mails and emails to Daniel Printz from January 2022 till now being April 2022 and yet to hear back for the next step and advice. I have asked for status of the case and expenditures; my calls and emails have not been returned. Not one returned call, email or letter; no response whatsoever. Maybe others have had a great experience obtaining legal services from Daniel K. Printz, but this has been one of the worst experiences I have had when seeking legal services.
