He also criticized "whoever wrote this agreement" but my elderly family member had paid him a year ago to review the agreement in question and had succeeded in getting his recommended changes incorporated into it. He insisted on trusting the opposing party to act ethically while being advised that this was unlikely to happen, and then was forced to concede (by his actions--he never apologizes) that the advice given to him was right. I even had an instance where he argued with me on a legal point in the California Probate Code and he had to admit it was something new to him (but of course no apology was forthcoming). In my opinion Mr Gutman talks over people, imposes his own views on the conversation, and treats questions as challenges. But the bills keep coming!
