Updated 01/12/24: Battista earned a 2.88 GPA from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Despite this, he charges $400 per hour. He has applied for a judicial seat six times without success. Updated 08/10/23: After I left the firm, Managing Partner Patrick Grall responded publicly to my Google review instead of replying to my private email sent weeks earlier. That alone speaks volumes about how this firm treats former clients. While you're paying, you're treated one way. Once you raise concerns, the tone changes entirely. My Experience: Privileged client information was shared with opposing counsel. Communication was poor--unanswered emails, calls, and texts. A court hearing was scheduled without my knowledge or consent. His rate increased from $375 to $400/hr without notice or discussion. He failed to identify misleading financial disclosures from the opposing party, directly impacting child support calculations. He missed critical filing deadlines for spousal alimony. Battista marketed himself as a skilled, experienced advocate. In reality, I found him disorganized, inattentive, and ultimately fired him--which I can prove through written correspondence.

Well, after my experience with Austin Keen at State Farm on 58th Ave (next to GoodYear by SAMs Club) I can honestly tell you: I found that kind of Insurance Agent associated with that kind of quality company......and beyond! I have been through 3 insurance companies in 7 years due to agents retiring, companies buying out the other, and finally buying a new home and going with the mortgage broker's recommendation. All were decent, but not one of those agents took the time to meet with me in person and go over every detail of their insurance policies with explanations. They also put my family with 3 different companies for insuring auto, motorcycles and home. So there was no bundle discount and we had to have 3 different bills and payments for 3 different policies, actually 4 including FEMA for flood insurance (which I found out will always be separate after meeting with Austin). Now we are finally with ONE awesome company: State Farm, with a bonus: having Austin as an agent! Austin is personable, attentive, kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to work with! I also found him honest and having integrity. He was able to work diligently for my family, getting us lower prices with better coverage, in only a couple of hours. He explained so much to me, that I never knew or thought about. For one thing: State Farm uses State Farm Insurance! Not like these other agents who work for a business which does not have their own policies, but sign you up for various companies. Some of you may be ok with that, but for me having to make one phone call to one person at one company and have everything handled is priceless! Austin said he'd also be dealing with our FEMA flood insurance and taking care of changes with our mortgage company. After finalizing everything and knowing that I was now adequately covered by State Farm, I walked out of their office smiling and relieved! I came to them hoping to get some money back and a reduction on some past taxes. I was paying the…read moreIRS for a few years. I was told by Bailey that I should be getting a nice portion of my past taxes back, due to some federal guidelines. They said they were happy to work with me. So I gave them their retainer, They worked feverishly at first, but couldn't get anyone from the federal IRS TO RESPOND. The only thing at the end was to recover some penalties. It Took so long, (6 months) to get back money that the IRS charged me for penalties I paid in the past. It carried on for so long, that they said I needed to pay them more money, because of the extra time they put in. I said, it wasn't my fault that they couldn't get the project done. The main amount of the project wasn't taken care of, then the project was cancelled and was filed as incomplete. Bottom line after all was said and done, I got a call stating the IRS said, there is nothing they WANT TO DO, because the taxes were already paid. so, because careful for what you are told and investigate it, before you plunge head first as I did. At first I gave them a 5 because I thought it was going good, until they asked me for more money and then the whole thing fell apart. Go figure ‍
