Instead of politely explaining the process, the owner yelled at us and snapped, "You're not the only ones here!" Funny thing... we actually were the only customers there. The entire studio feels disorganized, and unfortunately, the owner's people skills are even more scattered. Her manners are almost their own form of comic relief--except no one was laughing. A little kindness, basic organization, and clear signage would go a long way. Pottery is supposed to be a relaxing, creative experience, not one where customers get scolded for not reading signs that don't exist. I won't be back, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere. One star.

Jasmin walks your through every step and gives you ideas. You can pick between a cutting board, serving tray, coasters, or a large letter. We chose cutting f boards and you can even have it engraved. It was super fun and easy (Jasmin also makes sure you don't mess up if not she'll help fix it!). Most places were already ran through but Google said they might have some V-Day gifts/decor so I was desperate and made my way over. They truly had such unique items that you don't typically find in other stores. Because they have a wedding aisle, I got some miscellaneous things from that section too and curated a box for my loved one. There were a lot of items on sale too so I didn't spend over $50 on everything. Luckily, the store wasn't packed so i was in & out relatively quickly. My fault as I should have called first to double check if they still offered the canvas painting. This is the only location I knew of that did that. Oh well. There is a huge selection of pottery pieces to choose from. Prices vary pending on your selection. Came here with my daughter and she selected the cute little tea set. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price at $54! But this is what she wanted so I cannot deny her happiness. Haha. I mean I can but I didn't know want to. It took me a while to find what I wanted to paint that was practical. We have so many pottery pieces the kids make that are just for decoration. Love when we make plates, mugs, bowls or any kitchen pieces as they are most practical. I chose the geometric vase! The vase was $37. There is also an additional $8/per person studio fee to use everything (brushes, paint, materials). This stuff can add up quickly. Our total was $117! Ouch. But fun and you can't put a price on fun experiences. Lol. Once you pick your piece, the staff will bring you a bowl of water and a paint palette. All brushes located at the tables. The you select the colors you want and put onto your palette and bring back to the table to start painting. We took our time and was here for 2 hours. But our pieces were meticulous. Ha. They also offer coffee here which is a nice bonus. Once you're done painting your piece, you can use the blow dryer to dry the paint, this prevents smearing. Give the finished pieces to the staff and they will label it for the final touch of glazing and thus completing the process. It takes about 7 days and they will call you when it's done so you can come back and pick up the finished product. Can't wait to see ours!

Since parking there is limited, there is additional parking next door at the Dania Beach Casino. Put on by the Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency the festival melds food, art, and entertainment. Entertainment included live musicians performing on the stage and sand sculpting. There were food tents and trucks set up selling all kinds of seafood but also fair food. The art side of the festival featured artists selling works in drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, acrylic, oil, watercolor, and photography. There were also arts and crafts, artisan food, and plant vendors. Local community groups and businesses also had booths passing out information, swag, and samples. I won a free hat from the casino! Many people brought chairs and set up for the day on the field or under the shade of the trees. On the last night of the festival there was a concert featuring a Queen cover band. Held over the entire weekend there was more than enough to keep you occupied for several hours. This is a great family and dog friendly event.

The music stage was so much bigger than I thought it was going to be and had incredible talent on it throughout the day. The Foreigner cover band was excellent! My favorite part of the event was the chef showcase! Local chefs from the area prepped a few dishes live for the audience. They shared their cooking techniques, tips, and tricks and once the dishes were done they shared tastes of each dish with the crowd. It was so entertaining and everything was delicious!
