I met my two brothers, Paul and Roger, here for dinner. One is in a wheelchair and the other uses a walker, and on a busy Friday night -- during their fish fry -- they still gave us the large round table so my brothers had room and comfort. That gesture alone meant a lot. What truly stood out, though, was how Greg and the team interacted with them. My brothers have some unique challenges, and the café staff treated them with respect, humor, and complete dignity. Greg joked with them in a way that felt natural and kind, creating an easy, family-like atmosphere. My brothers also had a couple of specific requests that were outside the menu, and the kitchen handled every one without hesitation -- maybe a little friendly ribbing, but always with warmth. The food is good, the portions are decent, and the prices are very reasonable. But what makes Taylor General Café special is the heart behind it. They treat my brothers -- two elderly, wonderful men -- as if they were part of their own family. That is something you can't put a price on. My brothers are regulars here, but I don't live nearby.
