Well, let me start off by saying I waited 2 week before writing this review. On April 8 or 9th, I…read moredecided to change my homeowners insurance to Allstate since my current one going up another 6% and I was refinancing my home. I called the 800-Allstate number got a policy quote and was told that if I had any questions that I could call my location agent. Now mind you I have Allstate for my cars and another home out of state but never called a local agent even though their profile shows up every time I log in. Now the infamous Kip Lowe is listed as my agent for the past several years with my auto policy, but I have never contacted him or anyone at his firm. Anyways, I had questions about a few things that I saw on the new homeowners policy so, I called Mr. Lowe's firm. He was not available but asked if he could give me a call back. Now, the first thing I wanted to know was why it states on the policy that the time at current address as 5 years when I have lived at the current address for almost 9 years. I also wanted to know why it reads that I am not eligible for the GOOD Hands Discount. These question seem pretty simple I'm assuming for any Broker to answer, right? Again for many years while with Allstate, I have never contacted this man listed as my agent for anything. I always have contacted the 800 number. So later that day, Mr. Lowe, Kip that is returned my call. I said to him that I was told that if I have any question, that I could contact you. He said to me that he don't know why Allstate tells us that. That they started this back a few years ago. I said well why are you listed as my local agent if you aren't able to help me. Well anyway, I asked him about the time the policy reads that I have lived at my current resident when I told them that I purchased it in 2012 and why was I not eligible for the GOOD Hands Discount. He said to me "I can't not answer why the agent did that on a policy that he did not write". I then proceeded to ask him about the GOOD Hands Discount. He again said he did not know why I was not eligible for that discount. That maybe it was applied to the other policy that I have with Allstate. He said you see what I'm saying. I didn't write the policy so I really don't know. I asked him again that it weird that I was told that if I needed anything that he would be able to help me. I only needed these question answered because as a new policy holder, I just wanted to know. He said he doesn't know why Allstate tells us (clients) that they can help us. he did not write that policy. So I kindly told him that ok. That I would called back the 800# and that I would never contact his office again and I hung up. I called the 800# and asked the same questions. I was told that they are given 3 options for time @ current resident. So 5 years was the right one in my situation. I asked about the GOOD Hands Discount and was told that the reason why I did not qualify for that was that I was not employed by Allstate. That discount is for their employees. The rep told me he's not sure why he said that he couldn't help me. This is why the appoint these locale office agencies to their clients so that if we need something right away the locale office could handle it for us. Now tell me why Mr. Kip Lowe refused to answer those two simple questions. He lied to me. He said he don't know why. I am very disappointed with this Allstate Representative. That is who you are KIP, an Allstate Representative. You are suppose to stand in when needed. I can not believe you just did not want to help me. I want nothing else to do with you nor your firm. You will never hear another word about me or any policy I have if any with Allstate. If that can not happen, then I have Geico, Progressive as back ups ready to help me with my policy needs. I see why now you have great reviews because you are just the man behind the wall. Most of us have never seen nor spoken with you. I'm guessing that Allstate appointed your firm to me for the location. If you have to send me to another state, I'd rather do that then deal with this lack luster customer care here. I see why on several occasions I have been reminded of this phrase. "Welcome to Montgomery, where customer service comes to die". Thank you KIP LOWE for reminding me of how true that phrase is KIP LOWE. If it wasn't benefiting you, then you couldn't help me. Thank you. Thank you. T. Tucker

I reached out to Katie about my interest in State farm. I would say within 5 minutes she had everything typed up and ready for me, lined out easy to understand and saving me over $800 a year. It was the easiest thing I've ever had to do I was literally sitting at a doctor's appointment waiting and by the time I finished my appointment she had me already set me up with insurance cards, then sent a letter to my previous insurance provider to cancel. I cannot express how easy it was to do this and how much I wish I would have done it sooner instead of just throwing away thousands of dollars every year on something that was only subpar.
