After several years of horrible negligence I canceled my policy when it was time for renewal. Even though I signed the cancellation documents, I was still charged for 4 months on a canceled policy. I had ti change mt banking account in order to stop the charges. I have no idea why this company has a 5 star rating. If I could upload my email correspondence on this site I would. I had homeowners, multiple car insurance and renters insurance. My address was incorrect, I dropped my ex husband while we were going through a divorce and he was able to call and get added again. I paid for his insurance for months while he was living with another woman and Billy refused to return my calls to remove him. After charging me for insurance after I canceled my policy I've asked for a refund for the 4 months they refused to stop withdrawing money. I was told I needed to contacts state auto myself to get refunded??!!!!! Worst experience I have ever had with any service anywhere! I had roadside assistance, the two times I called for service I was out of range for service. A bunch of misogynistic men running this company. I've also written a letter to Dave Ramsey and forwarded all my email correspondences as he was the reason I went with them to begin with. BEWARE!

After all of this, I could not be covered by any homeowners insurance bc my home burned down by no fault of mine. I purchased this home at 19 years old. USDA RHD loan based upon my income. Payment was never to exceed 426.00 goes to 766.00. home goes into foreclosure. Not processing due to COVID-19 shut down according to agent in foreclosure department. I have not received any correspondence since COVID-19 shut down. Turns out I am still in foreclosure. My home was never inspected because of the COVID 19 shutdown. Only pictures were sent. It is 2024 and my home is crumbling. Unfinished floor, back mold, holes that you can internally see to the outside. Spider waterbug and cockroach infestation. I I've in fear always. Neighbor townhouse next door has a leaking roof along with years of deterioration. When I call Kristie Wilson at the ocal USDA SMITHFIELD NC OFFICE I get zero help other than I am in foreclosure. I mowed the grass at 27 s Sussex drive until I no longer had a mower. I knew the lady that lives there had an anurysm which left the home vacant. Almost 30 years later this home is vacant, my home fire, you can still see the soot on the roof. n When I needed help I had none. After COVID-19 shutdown everything has changed. They are good at taking your money, but not so good at helping you out when the time comes. For instance, I've got a roof with hail damage. The first adjuster was so rude, I had to ask for another one to finish the work... they can't come to 11 days now. This is just typical of how they are these days. I'd suggest shopping around before getting home insurance. I'd definitely pass on these guys.
