We used various dog walking/sitting services until we found Danny and have not looked back. Our dog Murphy always comes back happy (and tired!). Cannot recommend Danny highly enough. read more

Ally is great with our dog and clearly really cares about the dogs and doing a good job with them. I always feel our dog is safe with him, and I know if there were any issues he would tell us. The whole team there are amazing, friendly and knowledgable in the care of your furry child, and look after them as if they were their own. Very flexible with pickup/drop off times to suit your needs and the fact they don't use a van to collect your dog means you know it's getting the exercise from start to finish. As their motto is "nae vans, nae cages, we walk your dog for ages" I can testify this is true.

The group walks have been really good for Liesel's confidence, not to mention she absolutely adores Suzanne (we met her by chance on a walk the other day, and Liesel was desperate to leave with her rather than me...). We are…read morebased in Bonnyrigg and cover the whole of the Midlothian area, and we have now expanded into parts of Edinburgh due to local demand. Competitive prices with maximum doggy love! At Mutley Crue we know how special your dog is to you, and when in our care, your dog means every bit as much to us. Owner Craig is a former chartered surveyor and a lifelong animal lover who will ensure that your dog is cared for as if it were his own. Craig is fully PVG checked and registered (formerly Disclosure Scotland and Police Checked) and Mutley Crue Dog Walking has full public liability insurance including for loss of keys. References from clients are available on request. Your dog will be picked up from your home and securely driven to the location of that day's walk in our fully insured and purpose modified van. Following their walk, your dog will be returned home clean and dry, no matter what the weather is like outside. Mutley Crue Dog Walking also provides healthy and delicious home made dog treats after a good walk. Being based in the beautiful surrounds of Midlothian provides our dogs with a variety of exciting and stimulating walks right on our doorstep. You can expect your dog to visit such places as Roslin Glen, Gore Glen, Vogrie Country Park, Yellowcraig Beach, Portobello Beach, Arthur's Seat, Blackford Hill and the Pentland Hills among others while on a walk with Mutley Crue. We have a variety of different packages to suit your waggly friend including puppy sitting and senior specials. Indeed, we can tailor make a service to meet the needs of you and your dog. We have also designed a service to care for your small animal at home, a place where they feel comfortable, safe and happy, as we understand the stress that transportation and strange environments can have on them. Our care will give you the confidence to be away from home in the knowledge that your lovely pet is being looked after. We also offer a specialist service to reptiles as we are very familiar with reptile care routines being long time reptile owners ourselves. We can even provide our own live reptile food to ensure your scaly friend receives the freshest of produce! Please feel free to contact us for more information or to discuss the needs of your dog. Thank you for looking! Craig

The timid little dog has come on leaps and bounds in his confidence and his behaviour with other dogs. Jacqui told us in her professional opinion that he could be walked off the lead and she was right. She sent us loads of video and told us how she managed him off the lead. His recall is brilliant and we've worked on the building blocks she gave us. He even eats better now. I can't thank Jacqui enough for the love and care she showed him and for the confidence she has given us. We will continue with the work she started and are eternally grateful.

First off, everything from that first review still rings true - so browse it for ordering details. They changed suppliers recently and the girls occasionally turn their nose at it but I put that on the cats being brats than anything. It it still HANDS DOWN the cheapest place to source local raw pet food. No contest. So if everything holds true from the first review, why the five stars? Because sure, a great price and delivery goes a huge way towards my fandom, but where Nisbet won me over was with the people behind the business. The owner (one of them?) delivers the food to your door and unlike most people who shove a box in your hand and take off, he's always up for a quick chat. Over the course of the past 18 months he has taught me a fair deal about Scottish history, tidbits about the towns surrounding Edinburgh and even put me onto a couple traditional recipes. He's so delightful, that I actually look forward to this delivery every month. It's good pet food with AMAZING people behind it - if you feed your furballs raw, you'd be hard pressed to find lovelier people to supply it.

Since that first trip, Anna has indeed been my go-to cat sitter. The girls love her, she handles their finicky (and pretty gross) raw food like a pro, heck - she even vacuumed my house last time she was in! But most importantly: I trust her completely with my furballs and always return to happy/healthy feline monsters. What's more, she is possibly the EASIEST person to work with in the WHOLE DAMN WORLD. Case in point: I messaged her this morning because I had forgot to book a cat sitter for a work trip... that begins tomorrow. She replied (as per usual) within 30 minutes and got me out of yet another jam. Best damn £8 a day I will EVER EVER spend! I cannot say enough good things about The Cat Lady!

This place sells everything your pet will never really need, but you'll want to spoil them with anyways. It's all really expensive and pretty pointless, but I'm sure an avid pet lover would tell me different. Probably the most offensive thing in here, which I'm sure you've seen before, is the Ball thrower... and I thought Penicillin was a great invention. When did we get too lazy to throw our own balls about?

Compared to other big pet shops Pets at Home score by letting dogs into the store (we get extrra animals to interact with!), mammal welfare seems very good, and they take responsibility by having an adoption area for rehoming unwanted pets -impressed! On a recent visit, we were even offered a significant amount of petcare equipment for FREE - again, staff couldn't do enou for us and even offered follow-up visits to our establishment to check all was well!! Must single out Pam for uber-helpfulness and commonsense, but general helpfulness level is great, everyone has time for you.
