Delighted with my overall experience with Carrie Southerton Photography. I was gifted a photo shoot…read morefor my dogs and this was my first photo shoot of any kind so I had no idea what to expect. I must preface my overall experience by saying that I have a very small dog and a very large dog both of whom flip between impeccably behaved and utter eejits, the size difference in itself can make it a huge challenge to get a picture of them together but add to that their characters and you know there will be tears (mine and brought on by hysterical laughter or frustration). I cannot put into words how wonderful Carrie was throughout our time. Her creativity shone through in the setting up of scenes to compliment or take advantage of the size difference. What really made the experience so positive for us was her patience, kindness, good humour, and willingness to put her life on the line to get the shot she envisioned. There were heart stopping moments particularly as Carrie lay on the grass while Ali threw a ball at her head so that my 45kg muppet would run at her face full speed. There was freedom for the dogs to do whatever they wanted to do including the big one trying a spot of gardening and joyfully claiming the root balls she dug up as her own. And there were lots and lots of tears and laughter (and I said more than a few naughty words) while trying to get a shot of the wee one jumping over a log which he would do with glee when the camera wasn't on him but whenever we were ready he ran around. With both Carrie and Ali, the prevailing factor throughout the shoot was the comfort and wellbeing of the dogs, we were never asked to do something which my dogs wouldn't naturally do and she quickly picked up when they were getting tired and that was when the shoot ended (it far overran the allotted slot). When I saw the proofs I felt quite emotional, from beautiful portraits to the most ridiculously funny moments she had caught there was no mistaking that these were my dogs, their character was so perfectly captured. I can't thank Carrie Southerton Photography enough for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. From initial contact onwards you are truly in the hands of a professional and a clear dog lover who not only has brilliant customer care skills but can back it up by leaving you utterly spoiled for photographic choice.

Dishonest , dont expect your refundable deposit…read more I have paid a refundable deposit :£35 on 9th Jan 2023 to book fairy shoot for my daughter.After the viewing session I have confirmed that i will only take the photo that comes free with the deal on 21st April. Since then i have been chasing for my refundable deposit through emails phone calls and personal visit but no success. I felt like duped by groupon and Nicola Bald. I wish it comes with warning that refundable deposit has to be used for any photos enhancement. With the cost of living crisis upon us the last thing we expect is dishonesty and platform like groupon promoting it.

Untrustworthy company Liars and currently thieves!…read more Booked the shoot which in itself was fine. On returning to review photographs November no editing had been carried out on the pictures. We were promised all would be resolved and they explained what they would do to each photo, we agreed upon a deal and made part payment of £275 on the promised delivery prior to Christmas. After chasing repeatedly with no response we decided as they had not kept their side of the agreement we would cancel and get a refund.... Nicola then tried telling us of the many calls to our mobiles to inform us of a ready date, due to no records on our phones of missed calls on asking for clarification on dates as modern technology records call logs, no further response from them as the calls clearly never happened and this was just another delaying tactic. Do not provide this company any monies unless you have viewed the completed edited photos and have a formal date of delivery in writing! Ours was a groupon elves and fairies deal who refunded their part immediately on showing the timeline of conversation and messages! Would never use or recommend the services of this photographer again.
